Accounts Overview

The TikTok Accounts section is where you connect, manage, and configure your TikTok Shop seller accounts within Magento. This is a mandatory setup step—all syncing, product listing, orders, and policies depend on an active TikTok account being configured here.

Purpose of the TikTok Accounts Section 

This section allows you to: 
  1. Connect your TikTok Shop seller account to Magento
  2. Assign Order Policy and Synchronization Policy at the account level
  3. Refresh authorization tokens
  4. Fetch marketplace onboarding data (categories, carriers, etc.)
  5. Manage multiple TikTok Shop accounts (if applicable) 

Add Account 

Use this button to connect a new TikTok Shop seller account. This will: 
  1. Redirect you to TikTok authorization
  2. Authenticate your seller credentials
  3. Create a new account record in Magento 
You must complete TikTok authorization to proceed with any marketplace operations.

Refresh Token

TikTok access tokens expire periodically. Use Refresh Token when:
  1. Sync actions fail due to authorization errors
  2. Your account status becomes inactive
  3. You see authentication-related warnings
Refreshing the token restores API access without reconnecting the account.

Account Grid 

Each row represents a connected TikTok Shop account. 
  1. ID: Internal system identifier for the account.
  2. Title: A custom name given to the account for easy identification (e.g., UK TikTok Shop, EU Store).
  3. Status: 
    1. VALID: Account is active and authorized
    2. INVALID: Authorization failed or expired
    3. DISCONNECTED: Account manually disconnected
    4. Only VALID accounts can sync data. 
  4. Region: Displays the TikTok Shop region (e.g., Europe, US, UK). Region affects:
    1. Currency
    2. Categories
    3. Shipping carriers
    4. Policy compatibility
  5. Marketplace Account Data: Shows TikTok-generated identifiers - 
    1. Seller Account ID
    2. Shop ID
    3. Marketplace Target ID
    4. These confirm successful TikTok authorization.
  6. Store View: Shows the Magento Store View linked to this TikTok account. All products, prices, and inventory are synced based on this store view’s configuration.
  7. Synchronization Policy: Displays the Synchronization Policy assigned to this account. Controls: 
    1. Auto product upload
    2. Auto updates
    3. Inventory & price sync
    4. Logging behavior 
  8. Order Policy: Displays the Order Policy assigned to this account. Controls:
    1. Order creation in Magento
    2. Invoicing
    3. Shipment sync
    4. Order status mapping
  9. Action Menu: Click Select ▾ to view available actions.
The actions menu includes: 
  1. Edit: Use this to: 
    1. Reauthorize the TikTok account
    2. Change assigned policies
    3. Update store view
    4. Disconnect the account
  2. Fetch Onboarding Data: This action imports essential TikTok data into Magento:
    1. Marketplace categories
    2. Shipping carriers
    3. Platform-specific metadata
Follow this exact order for a smooth setup:
  1. Add Account
  2. Refresh Token (if required)
  3. Fetch Onboarding Data
  4. Create and assign:
    1. Order Policy
    2. Synchronization Policy
  5. Configure:
    1. Listing Templates
    2. Attribute Mapping
  6. Upload products
Skipping steps can result in:
  1. Missing categories
  2. Carrier mapping issues
  3. Sync failures
  4. Order import problems
