All Products: This shows every product in your app, whether it's linked to Etsy or not.
Linked Products: These are products that have been successfully linked between your Etsy shop and Shopify Store.
Not Linked Products: This list includes products that haven't been linked to Shopify yet, giving you the option to link them or create them on Shopify.
These lists help you easily manage and organize your product inventory across both platforms.
The search bar in the Products section allows you to quickly locate specific products based on different identifiers. Here's how to use it:
Search by Title:
Type in the product's name or title to find matching listings in your store. This is helpful when you know the name of the product you're looking for.
Search by Listing ID:
If you have a specific Listing ID for a product, you can enter it here to find that particular product quickly. Listing IDs are unique to each product on Etsy.
Search by Product ID:
Enter the Product ID if you have one to find a specific product, especially useful for products with multiple variations or if you're managing a large inventory.
Search by Profile:
If you've set up specific profiles for your products (e.g., different pricing or shipping profiles), you can search for products associated with a particular profile.
Search by SKU:
Enter the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) to locate a product. This is useful if you track products using unique SKUs for inventory management.
The search bar streamlines the process of finding products in your store, saving time and helping you manage your inventory more efficiently.
The export option is useful when you have to make changes to product details in bulk, and you prefer working with CSV files. You can also do this using a bulk action from the product grid, but you'll often see that we have given multiple ways to do the same thing so that the app is easy to use for everyone.
Note - If you have to change the Etsy product details, then you'll have to edit the products one by one.
The All Products section provides a comprehensive view of all your products, whether they are linked between Shopify and Etsy or not. This allows you to manage, update, and track all your listings from one centralized location. You can easily filter through your products, as explained before, whether you're looking to update pricing, inventory, images, or make other changes. This section ensures that you have full control over your product listings across both platforms.
When importing products from Etsy, some items are automatically linked to their corresponding Shopify listings based on shared Titles and SKUs. If a product's title and SKU match an existing product in your Shopify inventory, the integration will automatically create a link, saving you time and effort in managing the listings manually.
Here’s a breakdown of the various actions you can perform in the Products section of the Etsy Integration:
Sync from Shopify:
This action updates the product details on Etsy with the most recent information from your Shopify store. If any changes are made in Shopify (e.g., title, description, inventory), they will be reflected on Etsy.
The Sync from Shopify function allows you to update product details on Etsy with the most recent information from your Shopify store. Here's how to use it effectively:
Select Products to Sync:
Choose the products whose details you want to sync from Shopify to Etsy. You can select individual products or multiple products at once.
Check the Sync Settings:
Before proceeding, ensure that you have selected the appropriate products for synchronization. The sync will update various product details, including:
Title
Tags
Inventory
Price
Description
Images/ Videos
Sync All Selected Products:
Once you’re satisfied with your selections, click on the Sync from Shopify button. The app will update the selected product details on Etsy, making sure everything is in sync with your Shopify store.
Note: Override Individual Sync Settings
If you select the Override Individual Sync Settings option, the product details for each selected item (such as inventory, price, and other settings) will be overridden individually from Shopify to Etsy. This gives you the flexibility to sync specific details for each product.
If you don’t select this option, the sync will be applied globally to all selected products, meaning the same settings (e.g., title, tags, inventory) will be updated for all products based on your Shopify store's information, without the ability to customize individual products.
This function ensures that your product details are kept consistent and up-to-date across both platforms, streamlining the process of managing listings and inventory.
Unassign Profile:
Removes a product from its current profile, such as pricing or shipping profile, in the integration app. This action does not affect the product itself but removes any specific settings tied to the profile.
When you unassign a profile from a product, you will be asked to type "unassign" to confirm this action. This step ensures that you are aware of the consequences and are intentionally removing the profile.
Here’s how unassigning a profile affects your product listings on Etsy:
If any details (such as pricing, shipping, or inventory) are updated within the profile, those changes will not be reflected in the already published Etsy listing. The product on Etsy will remain as it was before the profile was unassigned.
If you want to update the product details after unassigning the profile, you will first need to assign a profile to the product. Without an assigned profile, product(s) cannot be published/listed on Etsy.
If the product has not been published or listed on Etsy yet, unassigning the profile will have no immediate impact. When you try to publish or list the product on Etsy, you will be required to assign a profile before proceeding.
Sync With Etsy:
Syncs product details between Shopify and Etsy, ensuring that any updates on Shopify are reflected in Etsy.
Update Price & Inventory:
Allows you to update the pricing and inventory details for a product. This ensures that your product’s price and stock levels on Etsy match those set in your Shopify store.
Update Image:
Refreshes the product image on Etsy to match the image currently uploaded in Shopify.
Change Product Status:
Allows you to modify the product's status, such as changing it from active to inactive. This can be useful for seasonal products or items that you no longer want to display on Etsy without deleting them.
Activate Products:
Enables a product to be visible and available for purchase on Etsy. Use this option when you want to make a previously deactivated or inactive product live again on your Etsy store.
Deactivate Products:
Temporarily removes the product from your Etsy store, making it unavailable for purchase. Deactivating a product doesn't delete it, and you can reactivate it later.
Delete Product from Etsy:
Permanently removes the product listing from your Etsy store. This action cannot be undone, so make sure you want to permanently delete the product before taking this step.
Unlink Product on App:
Removes the connection between the product in the app and its corresponding Etsy listing. This action disconnects the sync but does not delete the product, and you can choose to link it to another Etsy listing or Shopify product later.
These actions allow you to manage your Etsy listings efficiently and ensure that product details remain consistent between Shopify and Etsy.
Let’s understand “Not Linked Products”. You have two options: either link them to an existing Shopify listing or create a new listing. Follow these steps to manage them:
Open the Not Linked Products list.
Find the product you want to link and click on Link to Shopify.
A search bar will open—search by title or SKU to find the matching Shopify listing.
4. Once you find the correct product, select it and click Link.
To Create a New Shopify Listing:
Type “create” and confirm to proceed, to list on Shopify.
CedCommerce will create the product on Shopify, and you can verify it in your Shopify store.
These steps help ensure your products are properly linked and synced between Shopify and Etsy.
Now, let’s understand what you can do after your products are linked.
For Linked Products, you have several management options to keep your listings updated. Access by clicking on the three dots under “Actions”, such as Change Linking, Unlink Products, and Delete on Etsy.
Here's a breakdown of each option:
Change Linking:
Allows you to link a product to a different listing or update the existing link between Etsy and Shopify.
To Change the Linking for a product between Etsy and Shopify, follow these steps:
Select the Product to Change Linking For:
Identify the product you want to change the linking for and click on the action button to open the details.
Search for the New Shopify Product:
In the "Change Linking" section, you'll see an option to search for a new Shopify product to link.
You can search for the product by using Shopify Title, or SKU. This allows you to easily find the correct product on Shopify.
Select the New Shopify Product:
Once you've searched for the product, a list of matching products from your Shopify store will appear.
Review the search results, then select the correct product that you want to link to your Etsy listing.
Click on “Link Products”:
After selecting the new product from Shopify, click on the Link Products button to establish the new connection.
Unlink Products:
Effectively unlink a product and disconnect it from your Shopify store.
This action doesn't delete the product; it just removes the sync, meaning changes won’t automatically update between the platforms anymore.
You will be asked to type unlink to confirm your decision before the app can run this process.
Delete Listing on Etsy: Permanently remove the product listing from your Etsy store. You can perform this action for one or multiple products at once. This action cannot be undone, so use it with caution.
You will be asked to type delete to confirm your decision before the app can run this process.
