All Products Section - Overview

Part #1

The Products section is where you manage all your products in the app, whether they’ve been assigned to a profile or not. You can also manage products that were listed on Etsy before using the app by linking them with your Shopify products or even create a Shopify listing for items you’re only selling on Etsy.

You’ll find the Products section as the second item in the left-hand menu.  In the Products section, you'll see three types of product lists:
  1. All Products: This shows every product in your app, whether it's linked to Etsy or not.

  2. Linked Products: These are products that have been successfully linked between your Shopify store and Etsy shop.

  3. Not Linked Products: This list includes products that haven't been linked to Shopify yet, giving you the option to link them or create them on Shopify.

These lists help you easily manage and organize your product inventory across both platforms.

Export

The export option is useful when you have to make changes to product details in bulk, and you prefer working with Excel spreadsheets. You can also do this using a bulk action from the product grid, but you'll often see that we have given multiple ways to do the same thing so that the app is easy to use for everyone.

NotesNote - If you have to change the Etsy attributes for the products, then you'll have to edit the products one by one.

Click on the export button to open the panel, as shown below.

In the export panel, you have two options -
  • Selecting the product status - Choose one or multiple statuses of the products on Etsy. For example, you can choose Draft and Sold-out
  • Select product fields you want to export - Choose the fields you need to edit for your products.
Click on export, and the app will download a CSV file with the selected product fields on your system. Make the necessary changes and then import the CSV using the import option.

Import

The import option will allow you to import products from a CSV file on your system into the app.

NotesNote - When importing the products through a CSV file, make sure that you have disabled automatic syncing for the attributes that are supposed to be different on Shopify and Etsy otherwise the app will override those attribute values with those of Shopify.

Sync With Etsy

This action will allow you to sync Product status between the app and your Etsy Shop.

Part #2 - The Products

Let’s understand “Not Linked Products” first.

For Not Linked Products, you have two options: either link them to an existing Shopify listing or create a new listing. Follow these steps to manage them:

To Link to an Existing Shopify Listing:

  1. Open the Not Linked Products list.

  2. Find the product you want to link and click on Link to Shopify.

  1. A search bar will open—search by title or SKU to find the matching Shopify listing.

4.  Once you find the correct product, select it and click Link.

To Create a New Shopify Listing:

  1. Open the Not Linked Products
    list.

  2. Type “create” and confirm to proceed, to list on Shopify.

  1. CedCommerce will create the product on Shopify, and you can verify it in your Shopify store.

These steps help ensure your products are properly linked and synced between Shopify and Etsy.

Now, let’s understand what you can do after your products are linked.

For Linked Products, you have several management options to keep your listings updated. Access by clicking on the three dots under “Actions”:

  1. Edit the Product:

    • Select the product you want to update.

    • Make any necessary changes to the product details, such as title, description, or price.

    • The changes will automatically sync with Etsy after saving.

  1. Upload to Etsy:

    • If the product hasn’t been listed on Etsy yet, click Upload/Publish to Etsy.

    • Confirm the upload, and the product will be listed in your Etsy shop.

  2. Delete from Etsy:

    • To remove a product from Etsy, select the product and click Delete from Etsy.

    • This will remove the listing from your Etsy shop but keep it in your Shopify store.

These options give you full control over managing your products across both sales channels.
