Amazon blocked your attempt to list the product because the target category requires special authorization. Amazon restricts certain categories to maintain quality, comply with regulations, or safeguard customers — particularly high-risk or specialised product categories.
Why it happens
- Category restrictions. The category requires prior approval before you can list in it.
- Lack of authorization. You haven't completed Amazon's approval process for this category.
- Compliance issues. Past policy violations may have removed or reduced your access to the category.
How to fix it
- In Seller Central, check the category's listing policy and apply for approval if it's available (typically under Inventory → Add a Product → Apply to Sell).
- Provide any documentation Amazon requests (invoices, certifications, brand authorization, etc.).
- Once Amazon grants approval, retry the upload from the app.
