Category Template

Category Template

The category templates section allows you to streamline the process of categorizing similar types of products by creating reusable templates. These templates enable efficient mapping of product attributes to PrestaShop’s attributes, significantly reducing the effort required to update products individually while ensuring consistency and accuracy across your catalog.

How to Create a New Template?

Here’s a detailed guide to creating a template for managing your product listings:

Step 1: Category Template Info

  1. Click on ‘Create a new template’ button as shown below:

  1. Give a name to the template (For example - ‘Clothing bags’: for all your clothing bag product types)
  2. Custom pricing rules: This feature allows you to adjust the product prices being sent from your PrestaShop store to Temu by applying a fixed or percentage-based modification. It’s useful when you want to markup or discount products specifically for Temu without changing your original store prices.
→ Fixed Increment: Increases the product price by a fixed price
→ Fixed Decrement: Decreases the product price by a fixed price
→ Percentage Increment: Increases the product price by a set percentage
→ Percentage Decrement: Decreases the product price by a set percentage

  1. Click on ‘Save’ and switch to the ‘Rule Groups’ tab.

Step 2: Add Products to the Template

Use this tab to define the rules for product assignment to the template. These rules will help extract and assign only those products that you want in this template.

  1. Choose if you want the product(s) to match any of the rule or all rules.
  2. Select a Product Attribute (e.g., product type, tag, etc.).
  3. Define a Condition (e.g., equals, contains).
  4. Enter the Attribute Value to specify which products meet the condition.
  5. Click ‘Add More’  to add additional product rules, if required.
  6. Once all rules are set, click View Results to preview the list of products that match the criteria.
  7. Click on ‘Run Query’ to check the exact number of products meeting the set rules.

Step 03: Category Attribute Mapping

  1. Browse the list of categories displayed (e.g., CDs & Vinyl, Office Products, Home & Kitchen, etc.)
  2. Once done, the tab will extend featuring two more phases: Product and Variation Attributes.

Variation Attribute Mapping

The Variation Attribute Mapping section in the Temu PrestaShop Integration allows you to map product variations accurately. By linking PrestaShop attributes with corresponding Temu attributes, you ensure consistent and precise listings on the marketplace.

Breakdown of key fields:

  1. PrestaShop Attribute – This dropdown lets you select the variation attribute from PrestaShop (e.g., Color, Size, Style, etc.).

  2. Temu Attribute – This field allows you to map the selected PrestaShop attribute to a corresponding Temu attribute.

  3. Set Default Temu Attribute – If a product has no variations (simple product), you can manually assign a default Temu attribute.

Mapping Variations Between PrestaShop and Temu

To ensure accurate product variations, you can map PrestaShop attributes to Temu attributes as per the following combinations:

  • Color → Color

  • Color → Size

  • Size → Size

  • Size → Color

  • Other Attributes (Style, Material, etc.) → Matching Temu Attributes

InfoIf you don’t find a relevant Temu attribute in the dropdown, you can create a custom Temu attribute by clicking on the link provided.

Steps to Map Variation Attributes

  1. Select a PrestaShop Attribute

    • Use the dropdown under each attribute field (e.g., Color, Size, Weight, etc.).

  2. Select the Corresponding Temu Attribute

    • Choose the appropriate option from Temu’s attribute list.

  3. Map Variations Correctly

    • Ensure that values (e.g., "Red, Blue, Green") are aligned properly between PrestaShop and Temu.

  4. Repeat for Other Variations

    • Map additional attributes like Material, Capacity, Hair Length, etc., as required.

  5. Save Changes

    • Click the Save button to apply the mapped attributes and ensure proper product synchronization.

Creating Custom Temu Attributes (If Needed)

If a suitable Temu attribute isn’t available in the dropdown:

  • Click on “Create a custom Temu Attribute”

  • A pop-up will appear, allowing you to manually input custom values for Temu attributes.

  • Click ‘Save’ to save the custom attribute.

This process helps standardize product listings, improves visibility on Temu, and reduces manual adjustments.
