Configure Efficient Inventory Control (Fixed, Reserved, or Threshold)

Configure Efficient Inventory Control (Fixed, Reserved, or Threshold)

Decide how the app handles inventory for your Amazon-synced products. The Efficient Inventory Control setting offers three options — pick the one that fits your selling strategy.

The three options

OptionWhat it does
Set Fixed InventorySends a fixed stock value to Amazon for every product, regardless of the actual Shopify stock. The product stays available in that quantity.
Set Reserved InventoryReserves a portion of your stock for other channels or promotions. Only the remainder is sent to Amazon.
Set Threshold InventoryMarks a product as out of stock on Amazon once its Shopify stock falls to or below the threshold value you set.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Product Settings → Inventory.
  2. Scroll to Efficient Inventory Control.
  3. Toggle the section on.
  4. Select one of the three radio options and enter the corresponding value.
  5. Save.

Note

  • Your chosen setting applies to all products in your inventory — there's no per-product override on this page. You can switch options anytime; the new rule takes effect on the next inventory sync.
  • If the same inventory setting is also applied on a product edit or template edit, priority is: Product Edit → Template Edit → Global Settings.
