Default Template Section

Once you have completed the prerequisites, move to Default Template. You are required to map your Shopify products with the TikTok Shop categories. By doing so, you will enhance the visibility of your Shopify product catalog across the TikTok Shop.

1. Click on Setup Template. You will be redirected to the Template page to complete setting up templates for your products.
2. Here select a category that best defines your products.
   

Some categories are invitation-only. You will have to apply for permissions for these categories. Additionally, a few categories require additional certificates to be able to sell on the platform.

1. Next, move to add Shipping Details. This included adding package length, width, height, and weight. It is important to add accurate information about your product’s dimensions to ensure the calculation of the right delivery fees, which will be visible to your customer on TikTok. 

For Package weight, you can either select the same weight that is available on your Shopify store or add a custom value, specifically for your TikTok Shop.

Additionally, you can also add a fallback custom weight value. It is a default value to be used in situations where a product either weighs less than zero on Shopify or does not match TikTok’s weight requirements. 

1. Next, add additional product details through Attribute Mapping. It is important to add product attributes to help your customers understand your products better on TikTok. Here, you can either use the same attribute details that are available on Shopify or add a custom value for each. 
2. You can also add attributes for standalone products and products with variations. However, this step is optional. 
   

1. Once the attributes are successfully mapped, you might move to the product certification section. A few categories on TikTok Shop require product certificates to sell. Upload the necessary documents in this section to proceed further. 

For example,  You have selected a category that requires a certificate

and declaration of conformity to proceed further with the sales.

US Certificate of Conformity:

A certificate issued to vehicle manufacturers by EPA to verify that they conform to EPA requirements. It is a mandatory certificate for vehicle manufacturers to present in order to start selling on TikTok Shop.

Declaration of Conformity:

A document issued stating that your products meet the legally stated safety standards. It is a mandatory document to present, in certain cases of products, to start selling on TikTok Shop.

1. Add images of size charts for your selected category of products. 
2. Lastly, sync your Shopify warehouse with your TikTok Shop warehouse to ensure accurate inventory and fulfillment management. You can select more than one Shopify warehouse to map with our TikTok Shop warehouse. 
3. Once all the information is completed, click on “Save.”
4. Upon clicking on “Save,” you’ll be redirected to Default Configuration on the Shop setup page.
