Disconnect an Amazon account

Disconnect an Amazon account

Disconnect an Amazon seller account from your Shopify store when you no longer use that marketplace or plan to reconnect that account to a different Shopify store.

Steps

  1. In the app, go to Settings → Accounts.
  2. Find the account in the Connected Accounts list and click Disconnect on its row.
  3. The Disconnect Account modal opens. Type confirm in the text field exactly as shown.
  4. (Optional) Tick the checkbox "Check this box if you plan to reconnect this Amazon account with another Shopify store having CedCommerce Amazon Channel installed." — this expedites the account disconnect process.
  5. Click Disconnect.

What happens after disconnect

  • The account's status in Connected Accounts changes to Disconnected and its Disconnect button becomes inactive.
  • Order, inventory, and price syncs stop running for that Amazon account.

Note

After 48 hours the account data is deleted from the app. If you want to expedite this process, select the checkbox in the Disconnect Account modal before confirming.

If you forgot to select the checkbox and you're trying to connect the same Amazon account to another Shopify store, contact support — they can help you reconnect immediately. Otherwise, wait 48 hours.
