This guide explains how an existing Walmart seller can use inventory stored in Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) to fulfill orders received on SHEIN through UniCon. The setup uses three connected parts:

Walmart is the source channel

A source is the channel where your products already exist. When you connect Walmart as a source, UniCon imports your existing catalogue, including titles, images, prices, and inventory.

The source connection is read-only, so connecting Walmart does not change your existing live Walmart listings.

SHEIN is the target channel

A target is the channel you want to expand to. UniCon uses the catalogue imported from Walmart to help you prepare and publish selected products to SHEIN.

You can also connect an existing SHEIN account that already has listings. UniCon can sync its orders and manage their fulfillment.

Multichannel Solutions by Walmart (MCS) is the fulfillment service

WFS holds the seller’s inventory within Walmart’s fulfillment network. MCS extends that network to orders placed on other sales channels.

In this setup, UniCon sends eligible SHEIN orders to MCS, and Walmart fulfills those orders using the corresponding inventory stored in WFS.

HOW WALMART AND SHEIN FULFILLMENT CONNECTIONS WORK

When you connect Walmart as a source, UniCon automatically imports the existing fulfillment connections associated with that source account. Meaning, an existing Walmart MCS connection can be imported when Walmart is connected as the source. However, you have to enable it to route orders through it.

Please note, the same does not happen when you connect a target channel. 

Connecting SHEIN does not automatically tell UniCon whether its orders should be fulfilled through Walmart MCS, another location, or manually. You must therefore define the fulfillment path using Order Routing.

BEFORE YOU START

Have the following ready:

• Your Walmart seller credentials: UniCon connects to Walmart using your Client ID and Client Secret Key.

• Inventory available in WFS: The products you intend to sell on SHEIN should have corresponding inventory within your Walmart fulfillment setup.

• Your SHEIN login: You will sign in through SHEIN’s Global Merchant Center using your User ID (GS#) and password, followed by a one-time verification code sent to your registered contact method.

• Your preferred product identifier: UniCon can identify matching products across channels using SKU or barcode. Knowing which identifier your catalogue uses consistently will make the setup easier.

1: CONNECT WALMART AS THE SOURCE CHANNEL

Your source is the channel where your products already exist. UniCon imports the catalogue from this account without changing your existing Walmart listings.

1. Open the channel list

From the left menu, go to:

Channel Management → All Channels

You will see the source channels available to connect under Product & Order Management.

2. Connect Walmart

Find Walmart and select Connect.

3. Enter your Walmart region and credentials

Enter your Walmart API credentials:

• Client ID
• Client Secret Key

Then authorize the connection.

4. Choose how Walmart connects

Under Connect as, choose Walmart’s role in UniCon. 

Source: Import products from channel

Select this option for the setup covered in this guide. It tells UniCon to import your existing Walmart catalogue.

Target: Publish products to channel

Use this option when Walmart itself is the marketplace you want to expand to. Do not select it for Walmart in this Walmart-to-SHEIN setup.

Note: Make sure Source is selected before continuing.

5. Connect Walmart and Confirm the connection

Once connected, UniCon displays Connected to Walmart and marks the account as Active.

Select Continue.

6. Import your catalogue

UniCon begins importing products from the selected Walmart account.

You will see the account name and import progress on the screen. The import can continue in the background, so you can close the tab and return later if required.

Once the import is complete, your Walmart catalogue becomes available in UniCon.

7. Configure the source account

Set how UniCon should manage products imported from Walmart.

Product identifier: Choose SKU or barcode. UniCon uses this identifier to recognize matching products across connected channels. At least one identifier must be selected.

Continuous sync: Enable this to automatically bring newly added Walmart products into UniCon.

2: VERIFY OR ENABLE WALMART MCS

WFS holds your inventory within Walmart’s fulfillment network. Multichannel Solutions by Walmart extends that network to orders originating from other channels, including SHEIN.

When you connect Walmart as a source, an existing Walmart MCS fulfillment connection is imported into UniCon automatically.

If MCS is already available on the connected Walmart source account, verify that it appears and is active in UniCon.

If MCS still needs to be enabled for the connected account, follow these steps.

1. Open your Walmart channel

Go to:

Channel Management → My Channels

Find the relevant Walmart source account and select Manage.

2. Open Walmart MCS

From the Walmart account settings, open Walmart MCS.

3. Enable MCS

This allows Walmart’s fulfillment network to handle eligible orders originating from supported external channels, including SHEIN.

Select Save.

At this point, the fulfillment service is available in UniCon. You will assign SHEIN orders to it after connecting and configuring the SHEIN target account.

3: CONNECT SHEIN AS THE TARGET CHANNEL

1. Choose SHEIN

Go to:

Channel Management → All Channels

Find SHEIN and select Connect.

2. Authorize the connection

On the SHEIN setup screen, select Connect SHEIN.

UniCon redirects you to SHEIN’s Global Merchant Center.

3. Sign in to SHEIN

Enter your:

• SHEIN User ID (GS#)
• Password

Your login credentials are entered directly on SHEIN’s login page.

4. Complete verification

Enter the one-time verification code sent to your registered contact method.

Depending on the available options, you may also be able to receive the code through email or WhatsApp.

5. Approve UniCon access

SHEIN displays the permissions UniCon needs to manage the account information.

Accept the authorization terms and confirm.

6. Return to UniCon

After authorization, you are redirected to UniCon.

Once the connection process is complete, you will see the available import and setup information. Select Continue Setup.

4: CONFIGURE THE SHEIN TARGET ACCOUNT

The Get Listed checklist walks you through the configuration required.

This includes:

1. Account Configuration

2. Product Classification

3. Target Category Assignment

4. Map Target Attributes

5. Map Warehouses

6. Order Configuration

Complete the steps in sequence. The progress indicator shows how much of the setup is finished.

1. ACCOUNT CONFIGURATION

Configure how UniCon should manage products for SHEIN.

Product identifier: Select SKU or barcode. This helps UniCon recognize the same product across Walmart and SHEIN. At least one identifier is required.

Product Listing: Controls how products are listed and synced with SHEIN.

Product Inventory Sync: Enable this to keep SHEIN inventory synced with UniCon.

Auto SKC shelf management: Automatically updates a SHEIN product’s on-shelf or off-shelf status based on available inventory.

What is an SKC?

An SKC (Standard Key Code) is SHEIN’s product-level identifier used to group related SKUs. Shelf status determines whether the SKC is available for sale. Sold-out SKCs can be treated as off-shelf.

Crop image before uploading: Automatically crops product images to meet SHEIN’s image requirements. When turned off, UniCon retains the original image dimensions and adds a white border where required.

Product Update: Replaces product information in UniCon using data from SHEIN.

Product Price Sync: Enable this to synchronize product prices with SHEIN.

Supplier Code Prefix: Enter a prefix if required, or leave blank to use the default.

Select Save & Continue.

You can update these settings later from My Channels.

2. COMPLETE THE PRODUCT SETUP

Complete the remaining product-setup steps:

1. Product Classification

2. Target Category Assignment

3. Map Target Attributes

These steps prepare the selected products from your Walmart source catalogue for SHEIN.

If products already exist on the connected SHEIN account, UniCon can sync their orders and manage fulfillment through the configuration covered in the following steps.

3. MAP WAREHOUSES

Map each relevant source warehouse to the corresponding SHEIN fulfillment location so inventory can sync correctly.

If a source warehouse is left unmapped, UniCon displays a warning indicating that unmapped warehouses will be removed when you proceed.

Map all warehouses you want to use, then select Continue.

This warehouse mapping connects the source inventory location with the corresponding target-channel location.

Note: It is also used by the Warehouse Bound routing rule described later in this guide.

4. CONFIGURE ORDERS

Configure how SHEIN orders are handled in UniCon, including the shipping carriers associated with those orders.

Shipping Carrier Mapping

Shipping Carrier Mapping connects SHEIN’s carrier names with their UniCon equivalents.

This ensures that when a SHEIN order is shipped, UniCon can recognize the corresponding carrier correctly.

• Map a carrier: Select the SHEIN carrier and pair it with the matching UniCon carrier. For example, map SHEIN’s 4PX carrier to 4PX in UniCon.
• Sync Shipping Carriers: Pull the latest available carrier list before creating mappings.
• Add a carrier: Create an additional carrier mapping.
• Remove a carrier: Delete a mapping you no longer need.

Map each carrier you expect to use for SHEIN orders.

5: CONFIGURE SHEIN ORDER ROUTING TO WALMART MCS

Connecting SHEIN does not automatically assign its orders to the fulfillment connection imported with Walmart. You must configure Order Routing to send incoming SHEIN orders to Walmart MCS automatically.

Order Routing determines which fulfillment location should handle incoming orders from a connected target-channel account.

ONE ORDER ROUTE PER CHANNEL ACCOUNT

UniCon allows one order route per channel account. This restriction applies to the individual account, not the entire target channel.

For example, if you operate two SHEIN accounts, you can configure:

• One route for SHEIN Account 1
• One route for SHEIN Account 2

Separate accounts from the same region or different regions can each have their own route.

Once an order route has been created for a specific SHEIN account, another separate route cannot be created for that same account. Configure the required routing rules within its existing route.

ROUTING RULES

Depending on the account and available configuration, UniCon provides routing rules that determine how orders are assigned to fulfillment locations.

1. Warehouse Bound

Warehouse Bound uses the configured source-to-target warehouse mapping to determine which fulfillment location should handle an order.

For the setup covered in this guide, this rule connects the mapped SHEIN warehouse with the Walmart MCS fulfillment location that uses your WFS inventory.

2. Use ranked locations

Routes orders according to the priority assigned to the available fulfillment locations. Use this when you want UniCon to consider locations in a predefined order.

3. Use product fulfillment service

Routes orders based on the fulfillment information configured for the product, such as location-specific product metafields or fulfillment tags.

4. Minimize split fulfillments

Attempts to fulfill the order from as few locations as possible, reducing split fulfillment across warehouses.

CONFIGURE SHEIN WITH MCS VIA WAREHOUSE BOUND ROUTING

To configure the route for this Walmart-to-SHEIN setup:

1. Click on “Add Routing” to create a new order route for SHEIN

2. Name the Route

3. Select SHEIN from the list of connected targets displayed below

4. Enable Warehouse Bound as your choice of routing

   

5. Select Edit to access the Warehouse Bound Mapping pop-up.

6. Map the relevant warehouse, like the MCS fulfillment location
   
   
   

7. Save.

Once the route is saved, eligible orders associated with the mapped SHEIN warehouse are directed to Walmart MCS for fulfillment using the corresponding inventory stored in WFS.

HOW THE FULFILLMENT FLOW WORKS

After the order route has been configured:

1. Customer(s) place an order on your SHEIN selling account. 

2. The order(s) are synced with UniCon.

3. UniCon applies the order route configured for these synced SHEIN orders.

4. The order is assigned to Walmart MCS

5. Walmart fulfills the eligible order using the corresponding inventory stored in WFS.

6. Shipment details, including carrier and tracking information, are synced through UniCon for the SHEIN order.
