A Synchronization Policy controls how products, inventory, pricing, and assignments are automatically synced between your Magento store and TikTok Shop using background cron jobs. It ensures your marketplace data stays updated without manual intervention.
Step 1: Open Synchronization Policy
- Go to TikTok Marketplace → TikTok Policies
- Click Add Policy
- Select Synchronization Policy
You will be redirected to the New Synchronization Policy screen.
Step 2: Enter Policy Title
Enter an internal name for the policy. This is used internally to identify the policy.
Step 3: Cron Setting
These settings control automatic background synchronization.
Product Upload
Enable → Automatically uploads newly eligible products to TikTok
Disable → Manual upload only
Enable this if you want hands-free product onboarding.
Product Update
- Enable → Automatically updates:
- Title
- Description
- Images
- Attribute changes
- Disable → Updates must be pushed manually
Inventory/Price Sync
- Enable → Automatically syncs:
- Stock quantity
- Pricing changes
- Disable → Inventory & price updates must be pushed manually
This is critical for avoiding overselling and price mismatches.
Product Assign
- Enable → Automatically assigns products to listing templates using auto-rules
- Disable → Assignment must be done manually
Enable this if you use:
- Auto product rules
- Category-based assignment
- Bulk onboarding workflows
Step 4: Products Setting
These settings control which types of products are allowed to sync.
Sync Not Visible Individually Products
- Yes → Syncs products even if visibility is set to Not Visible Individually
- No → Only syncs catalog-visible products
Sync Out of Stock Products
- Yes → Syncs even when stock is zero
- No → Skips out-of-stock products
Only Specific Attributes Syncing
- Yes → Syncs only selected attributes
- No → Syncs all product attributes
Select Attributes
If enabled, choose:
- Price
- Quantity
- Title
- Description
- Images
- Custom attributes, etc
If no attribute is selected, all attributes will be synced by default.
Step 5: Developer Setting
These settings control logging and diagnostics.
Activity Log
- Enable → Records all sync operations
- Disable → No logs will be generated
Synchronization Feed Log
- Enable → Logs all API communication with TikTok
- Disable → No API feed tracking
Step 6: Save the Synchronization Policy
- Click Save
- The system validates:
- Title
- All enabled cron tasks
- Once validated:
- Policy becomes VALID
- It becomes available
Step 7: Assign the Synchronization Policy
- Go to TikTok Marketplace → Account Settings
- Select your newly created Synchronization Policy
- Save the account
This activates:
- Auto product upload
- Auto product updates
- Auto inventory & price sync
- Auto product assignment
- Full sync logging
