How Amazon order cancellations sync to the app

How Amazon order cancellations sync to the app

When an Amazon order is cancelled — whether by you in Seller Central, by the buyer within Amazon's cancellation window, or by Amazon itself — the cancellation is picked up by the CedCommerce Amazon Channel app automatically. There's nothing for you to do in the app.

Where to see cancelled orders

Open Orders in the left navigation. Cancelled orders appear in the All tab with a Cancelled status. You can filter the list by status to see only cancelled orders.

Process cancellations as full cancellations from Amazon

To process a cancellation reliably, initiate a full cancellation from Amazon Seller Central — not a partial one.

Do not initiate a partial cancellation. Partial cancellations aren't supported by Shopify and will fail to sync. A partial cancellation is when an order has multiple items and only some of them are cancelled.

Notes

  • If a single product on the order has a quantity of 2 or more, initiate the cancellation for all of those quantities. Cancelling only some units of one product is treated as a partial cancellation and will fail to sync.
  • Common reasons a cancellation fails to sync:
    • A valid reason wasn't provided for the cancellation in Seller Central.
    • The order is already paid and shipped — at that point Amazon (and Shopify) treat it as fulfilled, so a cancellation won't apply.
