How to Create a Category Template

    Enhance operational efficiency, improve product management, and ensure consistency in product categorization across platforms with Category Templates.

    On the Category Template, you will find the “Create a Category Template” button in the right-hand corner


    1. Upon clicking the button, you will land on another page to create a template. 
    2. Herein, you will find three tabs - Category Template Info, Category Attribute Mapping, Rule Groups

    1. On the page, give a unique name to your category template. Make sure the name is easy to identify
    2. Next, add a Custom Price Rule for the products. You can select from fixed and percentage increase or decrease prices for a product. The product will be visible on TikTok with this new price.

    Next, move to the second tab of Category Attribute Mapping

    1. Here, first select the product category of your TikTok Shop products.
    2. Once you have assigned your products to the relevant category, move on to map TikTok attributes with your PrestaShop store. Here, you will get Required Product Attributes, Variation Attributes, and Optional Product Attributes based on your choice of product category.

    Required Product Attribute

    Under Required Product Attributes, you will get the following fields (depending upon your chosen category):
    1. Package Length
    2. Package Width
    3. Package Height
    4. Package Weight
    5. Cash on Delivery
    You can either map each of them using a custom value for each to be visible on TikTok, or select your PrestaShop store value.

    1. You can also add a fallback value in the custom fields under Required Product Attributes to capture the product details you need. This helps ensure the values are mapped correctly to the relevant TikTok Shop attributes for accurate listings and compliance.

    Optional Product Attribute

    1. Under Optional Product Attributes, you can now add and map products with Non-T1 brands, among other attributes.
    2. Apart from this, you can also search for a specific Non-T1 brand in the search bar for a quick, simplified resolution.
    3. You can also create custom brands under Optional Product Attributes to accurately represent your products when predefined brand options don’t fit your catalog.


    Product Compliance

    1. Next, you will have to add product compliance details for your products/categories.
    2. As mandated by the EU, you are required to provide all the details to make your order eligible for sale in the EU.

    Lastly, move to the third tab of Rule Groups
    1. Create Rule Groups to map PrestaShop products to TikTok Shop products selling under this category. The variables for condition include Title, SKU, Product ID, Brand, and Category. 

    1. Product Must Match: The rule defines whether you want all the selected conditions to be fulfilled or any one of them.
    1. You can assign products to the template based on the following conditions: 
    2. Select “Any Condition” to fetch the product(s) fulfilling any of the conditions created.
    3. Select “All Condition” to fetch the product(s) fulfilling all the conditions created.
    4. Click on “Add More” to add multiple conditions in the Rule Group.
    5. Click on “Run Query” to fetch the number of the product(s) based on the Rule Group(s) created. 

    1. You can also click on Override Existing Products. This means if you have assigned a product to this Category, and it happens to be included in some other category as well. The app will override the previous category and place the products in this new category.     
    Save the settings to successfully create your Category Template.
