How to Publish/Upload Products?

How to Publish/Upload Products?

Step 1: Select Products to Upload

Navigate to your product list and select the products you want to upload to Etsy.

Step 2: Click on Publish/Upload

  1. Once the products are selected, locate the Publish/Upload button on the right-hand side of the toolbar at the top.

  2. Click on this button to proceed.

Important Note:

  • If you see a message like "Mixed status found!", it means you’ve selected products with varying statuses:

    • Fresh Uploads: Products without assigned profiles will be uploaded to a new or selected profile.

    • Profile Assigned Products: These products are already live or assigned to a profile. They will not be re-uploaded but updated based on the assigned profile's settings.

Step 3: Select or Verify a Profile

  • If a Profile is Ready:

    1. Select the existing profile.

    2. Verify the profile details to ensure accuracy.

    3. Click Publish/Upload to proceed.

  • If You Need to Create a New Profile:

    1. Select the option to create a new profile.

    2. Provide a name for the profile.

    3. Begin customizing it.

Step 4: Customize Profile Details

  1. Basic Mapping for Etsy Category:

    • Describe your product in 2–3 words to get relevant category suggestions.

    • This helps improve product visibility on Etsy.

  1. Variation Mapping:

    • Map your Shopify product attributes with Etsy’s attribute options to ensure product variants are listed correctly.

    • For example: Link size, color, or other attributes for seamless variant management.

      Example of Variation Mapping

Variation Mapping helps ensure that product variants, such as size and color, are correctly synced between your Shopify store and Etsy.

For example, let’s say you sell T-shirts in multiple sizes (Small, Medium, Large) and colors (Red, Blue, Green).

      1. Map Shopify Attributes to Etsy:
In Shopify, you have variants set up for Size and Color. During the integration setup, you will map Shopify’s Size attribute to Etsy’s Size option and Shopify’s Color attribute to Etsy’s Color option.

      2. Sync Variants:
When you sync the product, Etsy will display the correct variants based on the mapped attributes, such as T-shirts available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, and Red, Blue, and Green colors.

  2. Link Images to Product Variants:

    • Attach specific images to product variants so buyers can easily see all available options, such as colors or styles.

  1. Choose Recommended Attributes:
    Notes
What Are Recommended Attributes? Recommended attributes are specific product details suggested by us to enhance the discoverability and appeal of your listings. These attributes provide structured data that helps buyers filter and search for products more effectively. By filling out recommended attributes, you improve your product's visibility and relevance in search results on Etsy.

    • Add specific attribute values (e.g., size, color, or sustainability).

    • Example:

      • Attribute: Color

      • Primary Value: Blue

      • Secondary Value: Light Blue

Step 5: Provide Listing Details

Fill out these sections to ensure your products comply with Etsy’s guidelines:

  1. About the Listing:

    • Who made it?

    • What is it?

    • When was it made?

  2. Production Partner:

    • Specify any production partners involved.

    • To create new partners, click the provided link.

  3. Search Tags:

    • Add relevant keywords to improve search visibility.

  4. Listing Renewal: You can choose your listing renewal option, either manual or automatic. Manual Renewal: Listings will not automatically renew. You will need to manually renew them. Automatic Renewal: Listings will automatically renew every 4 months for the same fee of $0.20 per listing, ensuring they stay active without needing any action from you.

  5. Shop Section:

    • Assign products to an existing section or create a new one.

  6. Materials:

    • Enter details like ingredients, raw materials, or fabric types.

  7. Styles:

    • Describe the style or theme of your product.

  8. Personalization:

    • Specify if personalization is available (e.g., custom colors or patterns).

  9. Shipping Template:

    • Select an existing shipping template or create a new one.

  10. Policy Template:

    • Choose an existing policy template (e.g., returns accepted within 7 days) or create a new one.

Step 6: Finalize and Publish

  1. Review all details to ensure accuracy.

  2. Click SAVE to list your products on Etsy.

Your products are now live and visible to Etsy customers! Repeat these steps for additional products as needed.
