Why This is Important?

Accurate inventory management is crucial for maintaining a positive customer experience and efficient order fulfillment. By configuring these settings, you can ensure that your Amazon listings accurately represent your product availability and that customers can make purchases with confidence.

What can you do?

  1. Enable or Disable Inventory Synchronization:

  • Click on “Inventory Settings” under Product Settings.
  • To enable Inventory Synchronization and management from the app, click “Enable.” To disable it, choose “Disable” from this menu.
  1. Set Custom Inventory for Products with “Continue Selling When Out of Stock” Enabled in Shopify:

  • Products with zero or negative inventory are typically considered out of stock in Shopify.
  • Enable or disable the ability to continue selling such products in your Amazon listings.
  • Useful for pre-orders, products arriving soon, or if you want to sell before ordering supplies.
  1. Set Fixed Inventory:

  • Enable this option and enter a fixed inventory value.
  • Ensure consistent availability of a product regardless of external factors.
  • Ideal for drop shippers aiming for stable product availability.
  1. Set Reserve Inventory for Promotions or Sales Channels:

  • Enable this option and specify a value.
  • Reserve specific inventory for promotions or dedicated sales channels.
  • Maintain availability for targeted marketing strategies.
For example, if you reserve a certain amount (5), your overall inventory on the marketplace will be reduced by that amount (20-5=15).
  1. Set Threshold Inventory:

  • Enable this option and set a minimum inventory value.
  • Products reaching this threshold are shown as “out of stock” on Amazon.
  • Prevent customer orders for products with limited availability.
  1. Delete Out of Stock Products Automatically:

  • Enable this option to remove Amazon listings when products go out of stock on Shopify.
  • Avoid misleading customers with unavailable products.
  1. Manage Warehouses:

  • Enable inventory tracking for specific warehouses in your Shopify store.
  • Efficiently manage stock across multiple locations.
If you have products in multiple locations and warehouses, this means you are fulfilling from those locations, and if you don’t want to sync all inventories but only from a few warehouses, then choosing this will help you sync products based on the warehouses and their locations. The shop location is the warehouse.
