Manage Products

The Products section lets you view, manage, filter, edit, and upload your store products to TikTok Shop. This is the main area where you control product listing activity between your Shopify store and TikTok Shop.

You can use this section to: 
  1. Review imported products
  2. Check upload status
  3. Search for specific items
  4. Edit product details before uploading
  5. Upload products to TikTok Shop
  6. Manage product visibility and listing readiness

1. Product Status:  

At the top bar of the section, you can view products based on the following statuses: 
  1. All: It shows the total products in the app, whether they are listed or not listed on TikTok Shop.
  2. Not Uploaded: Total number of products that are imported to the app from the Shopify store but are not yet uploaded to the TikTok Shop.
  3. In Progress: The product uploading process is in progress, and soon these products will be listed on the TikTok Shop.
  4. Live: These products are listed on TikTok Shop and are all set for the customers to buy them.
  5. Reviewing: These products are under review before going live on TikTok Shop. 
  6. Failed: Products under this category are not uploaded to the TikTok Shop due to an error. These errors can include missing SKUs, product weight, and incorrect or missing images, among others.
  7. Inactive: Inactive products are the ones that have been deactivated from the app by the sellers. 

2. Product Grid:  

The following sections are available on the product grid to help you easily review, manage, and edit any product without any hassles: 
  1. Image: This column displays the product image. It helps you visually identify the product quickly, especially when product titles are similar.
  2. Product Title: This column shows the product name imported into the connector. Below the title, the app also shows the product SKU.
  3. Template: This column shows whether a category or product template is assigned.
  4. Price: This column shows the product price that will be used for the listing. This helps you verify whether the pricing is correct before uploading products to TikTok Shop.
  5. Quantity: This column shows the available inventory quantity.
  6. Variants: This column shows how many variants a product has.
  7. Status: This column shows the product status across connected channels - TikTok and Shopify.
  8. Product action menu: In the Actions column, each product row has a three-dot menu. When clicked, it shows options such as:
    1. View Product
    2. Edit Product
    3. Upload Products
      This menu gives you direct control over each individual product. 


You can also customize the grid based on the information you want to see. 

3. Bulk Upload: 

  1. Go to the “Products” section and click on the “Bulk Upload” tab in the right corner of the app.
  2. You can select the products from the grid, click on the Bulk Upload tab, and assign them to a category template.
  3. Once the products have been assigned to a category, you can upload them all in Bulk to TikTok Shop. 

4. More Action:   

To further enable you to streamline and manage your TikTok Shop and Shopify store smoothly, you can control and perform curated actions, such as: 
  1. Sync TikTok Status: Enable this option to fetch your products' real-time status as they appear on TikTok. 
  2. Import CSV: Another critical feature - The import CSV functionality simplifies bulk product management, enabling you to upload your updated product data and product compliance efficiently.
  3. Export CSV: You can select the products in bulk, export the CSV files, make your edits in the set, and then import them back into the app for effortless management. The ability to bulk-select products, export them to a CSV file, edit them, and re-import them provides a streamlined, efficient way for sellers on TikTok Shop to manage their inventory.
  4. Product Optimizer: The Product Optimizer section is an extension of TikTok’s UI. Herein, you can view the reasons and scope of improvements for your:
    1. Search Ranking Opportunities
    2. Recommendation Opportunities.
You can also view the At-risk listings to improve their health and increase the chances of visibility and conversion of your products.


Import CSV: 

Key benefits of importing CSVs include: 
  1. Bulk Updates Made Simple: The Import CSV feature allows you to make changes to hundreds or even thousands of products at once, significantly reducing the time and effort needed for individual updates.
  2. Enhanced Efficiency: You can manage critical updates like pricing, inventory levels, product descriptions, or images in a single operation.
  3. Customization and Fine-Tuning: The CSV format provides unparalleled flexibility in editing product data, allowing you to tailor your updates to meet specific needs.
  4. Simplified Migration and Onboarding: The Import CSV feature is a powerful tool for you to help transition to TikTok Shop or expand your offerings.
  5. Greater Control Over Data: You retain complete control over your data when editing offline. This flexibility enhances the decision-making process.
  6. Seamless Integration with Export Features: When combined with the Export CSV feature, importing creates a closed-loop system for managing product data. 

Export CSV: 

Here’s how this feature benefits the sellers:
  1. Time Efficiency: Instead of editing product details one by one within the app, you can edit multiple products at once, saving significant time and effort. This is especially valuable for managing a large inventory, where small updates to multiple products (like prices, stock levels, or descriptions) can otherwise be time-consuming.
  2. Simplified Bulk Edits: The CSV format allows users to work with familiar tools. You can use powerful features like formulas, search and replace, and batch edits to make changes quickly and accurately. 
  3. Customizability for Complex Changes: You can perform complex operations, like applying discounts across multiple products, categorizing items, or updating shipping details in bulk, which would be cumbersome to handle in the app interface.
  4. Flexibility for Multiple Teams: Teams can collaborate by sharing the CSV file, enabling specialized members to work on specific data aspects (e.g., pricing by finance teams, descriptions by marketing teams). This decentralization ensures streamlined workflows and better accuracy.
  5. Scalability for Growing Businesses: As you expand your product range, this feature ensures that the app grows with you. The capability to handle a large volume of updates at once is critical for scaling businesses.
  6. Support for Marketing Campaigns and Seasonal Changes: You can easily prepare for events like holiday sales or new product launches by adjusting details like prices, promotional tags, or availability dates across hundreds of products in advance. 

Product Action Menu:

1. View Product: 

Click on the View Product tab under the product action menu to view the basic product details such as Title, Dimension, Price, Inventory, Weight, and SKU. 


2. Edit Product: 

Click on this tab, next to the product that you wish to edit. You will be redirected to the product edit page, where you can edit:

  1. Title and Description: You can change the title and description of the selected product from here. The title or product description should not be blank, or else the product won't be uploaded to TikTok Shop. You can either set the same Title and Description as is visible on Shopify or use custom information for each. 
  2. Price: Like above, you can edit and set price for your products through this setting. You can either set the same price as is visible on Shopify or set a custom price for each product. 

  1. Product Images: With the updated feature, you can choose the images and their sequences for each product, which will be now shown to customers on TikTok. You can upload the images already available on your Shopify store or manually upload other set of images (including uploading using image URL), select their sequencing, and upload them directly to TikTok Shop. For example - TikTok Shop allows maximum of 9 images per product. Now, say your product has 7 images on your Shopify store, you can add them all here in the app. Next, you want to add 7 more images available in your laptop folder. Simply click to upload these images on the app. Now, you have 14 images available on the app, and you can choose 9 images out of these 14, along with their sequence to be uploaded on TikTok, next to your products.  


Notes
TikTok Shop does not allow GIFs to be uploaded as part of the product media. Make sure you do not select a GIF for upload.
  1. Product Category: You can review and change the category template, selected for this product. 

  1. Map Shopify Location(s) with TikTok Shop Warehouse(s): Now you can map and manage the warehouse location saved in your Shopify store with active warehouse in your TikTok Shop account for a specific product. This will allow you to sync inventory in selective warehouse(s), as per your liking. 

  1. Custom Pricing: You can now set pricing rules for every product before listing them on TikTok Shop. You can either increase or decrease the price of your product on Shopify store, and upload them with this revised price on TikTok. 

3. Upload Product: 

The last option available on the action menu of the product grid page. You can simply click on the action tab next to the product that you wish to upload on TikTok Shop.
- Click on the Upload Product
- Assign your product to a category
- Select your Shopify Store Warehouse to map with your TikTok Shop for managing you orders.
- Add custom pricing for the product, as per your requirements,
- And click on Upload.


How to Perform Bulk Actions: 

  1. Select the items that you wish to perform Bulk Actions on. 
  2. Now, in the dropdown that appears, select your desired option. 
The following options are available:
  1. Upload Product
  2. Sync Price
  3. Sync Inventory
