Map Shopify refund reasons to Amazon refund reasons

Map Shopify refund reasons to Amazon refund reasons

Shopify and Amazon use different vocabularies for refund reasons. To make sure each Shopify reason syncs to a valid Amazon equivalent (rather than falling back to the default), set up a mapping under Map refund reasons.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Order Settings → Cancelation and Refund.
  2. Make sure Refunded orders is on (this setting is dependent on it).
  3. Find Map refund reasons and toggle it on.
  4. Pick a value from the Shopify dropdown (e.g., Damaged, Defective, Customer changed mind).
  5. Pick the matching value from the Amazon dropdown.
  6. Click Add Reason to add more pairs as needed.
  7. Save.

Note

If a Shopify refund reason has no entry in this mapping, the app falls back to the Default reason for refund you set in Set the default refund reason.
