With this setting option you can customise rules for your orders. It includes the following:
- Manage syncing of Order Item Taxes: You can smoothly manage the syncing of order taxes between your Shopify store and TikTok Shop for eligible orders.
- Sync FBT Orders: Enabling this option will sync details of Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) orders to your Shopify store for smoother and error-free order handling and inventory access.
- Configure the Order Hold Period of 1 Hour: Enabling this option will allow the app to sync orders during TikTok’s 1-hour remorse period. When activated, orders that TikTok Shop does not hold for an hour will be automatically placed on hold by the app. This feature helps you monitor orders more efficiently and minimizes fulfillment errors.
Remorse period: The period during which a buyer can cancel his/her orders without the seller's approval. - Manage Syncing of CPF Number: CPF, the Brazilian National ID, mandatory to make any international sales to Brazilian citizens can be easily synced and managed by enabling this option.
- Order Settlement Price Sync: Enable this option to sync the settlement price to your Shopify store from your TikTok Shop orders. Sometimes orders are sold at a discount to the buyers, due to some offer policy initiated by TikTok. For these discounted products, TikTok pays the settlement amount to the seller. If you enable this option, the settlement amount will be synced to your Shopify store for easy visibility.
- Create Orders for Non-Existing Products: Enabling this option will allow the app to create orders for those products as well that are not listed on your Shopify store. This helps in avoiding any stock and order discrepancies.
- Auto Cancel Order: Enable this option to cancel the orders on TikTok Shop, which are already canceled on Shopify. You can select a TikTok Shop reason to map them with the cancellation reason on Shopify.
- On-Hold Order Management: TikTok Shop places all new orders ‘on hold’ for 1 hour after purchase — during this window, buyers can cancel the order without seller approval. To manage this period efficiently and prevent overselling or data inconsistencies in your connected systems (e.g., Shopify), you can configure how and when the orders sync. This feature is enabled by default to ensure better control.
Sync Options
Sync to Shopify after 1 hour (Recommended)
- Waits for the 1-hour cancellation window to end before syncing.
- Prevents unnecessary syncs for cancelled orders.
- Ensures complete order details (e.g., shipping address) are available at the time of sync.
- The order is pushed to Shopify instantly, even during TikTok’s 1-hour hold.
- At this point, the shipping address will not yet be available, but will auto-update once TikTok provides it.
- Useful if your workflow requires immediate order creation, regardless of buyer cancellations.
- Reserves inventory as soon as the order is placed to prevent overselling.
- Syncs the order to Shopify only after the 1-hour hold ends.
- Sellers with limited stock or high-demand SKUs.
If your downstream system doesn't update order details (like shipping info), we strongly recommend choosing ‘Sync to Shopify after 1 hour’ to avoid partial or incorrect order data.
- Sync Marketplace-Funded Discount: TikTok often funds promotional discounts to boost product visibility and sales, while still ensuring sellers receive the full order amount. The Sync Marketplace-Funded Discount setting ensures that your Shopify order reflects the original (pre-discount) product value, matching what TikTok pays you.
When enabled:
- Your TikTok Shop orders will sync to Shopify with the full product price, not the discounted one.
- This ensures your Shopify order and financial reports show the actual amount TikTok is reimbursing you.
Example
- Your product is listed at $100 on TikTok Shop.
- TikTok applies a $20 platform-funded discount and sells it to the buyer for $80.
- TikTok still pays you the full $100.
- With this setting enabled, the synced order in Shopify will show $100, not $80, matching your actual payout.
- Navigate to Sync Marketplace-Funded Discount under Order Settings in your app.
- Toggle ON the setting.
- Save changes.
This only applies to TikTok-funded discounts, not seller-funded ones.
This setting helps avoid confusion over apparent revenue loss in Shopify due to discounts not funded by you.
- VAT Settings Sync for Orders: To comply with tax regulations and ensure accurate VAT calculations on TikTok Shop orders within the EU, the app offers a flexible VAT Settings module. This feature enables sellers to set a global VAT rate or create advanced VAT rules for product-level customization.
Step 1: Enable the VAT Settings:
- Toggle the VAT Setting switch ON to activate the VAT configuration options.
- This enables the system to apply VAT to your TikTok orders based on your selected preferences.
Step 2: Choose VAT Configuration Type
Option A: Global VAT Setting
- Use this if you wish to apply a single VAT rate across all your products.
- Select Global VAT Setting.
- Enter the Global VAT Rate in the input field (e.g., 20 for 20%).
Optional: Check the box labeled 'Apply VAT to shipping cost' if you want the VAT to be applied to shipping fees.
Option B: Advanced VAT Setting
- Use this if different VAT rates apply to specific product categories or listings.
- Select Advanced VAT Setting.
- Select the attribute with which you wish to filter the products and apply different rates to different products.
- Enter product-specific VAT rates separated by commas (e.g., 20,5,0).
- The system will match applicable VAT rates at the product level when syncing orders from TikTok.
- You can also add the VAT rate for the products that do not match the above criteria set by you.
Optional: Check the box labeled 'Apply VAT to shipping cost' if you want the VAT to be applied to shipping fees.\

You can also add multiple VAT rates on multiple attributes, simply by clicking on the Add VAT Condition button.
Advanced Settings:
Apart from the above-mentioned settings, you can also perform advanced settings to streamline order management for your store and Shop.
- Click on the Advanced Settings option, next to the Order Settings.
In the page that opens, you will get the following options:
- Modify Shopify Order Name: You can edit and change the order name of your Shopify orders in this section. This means, you can modify the name of the orders that you receive from TikTok before their syncing on your Shopify store. However, you can only add a prefix/suffix next to the default order number to create a unique name for your orders.
- Manage Shopify Order Tags: You can enable this option to add custom tags to your TikTok Shop orders to verify them easily on your Shopify store. The app adds "CedCommerce TikTok Shop" to all the orders processed through the app, by default. You can choose to keepb the same name or change to tags, as per your wish.
- Modify Order Tags: Enabling this option will allow you to add text of your choice for Gift & Sample orders.
