Overview of CedCommerce Pre-Order Extension for Csmarketplace

CedCommerce Pre-Order module is not dependent on any other Extension. A pre–order is an order placed for the product, which is yet to release.  The users can pre-order the products with an advance payment. They receive an email notification on the availability of the product. Admin can enable or disable this feature for their products and also to set the tier pricing for a specific product. Since the Vendor Panel is available only with the Csmarketplace extension, the admin has to install the CsMarketplace extension apart from the Pre-Order extension, to enable the same features for vendors.

The key features of the Pre-order extension are as follows:
  • Allow front-end users to order the products even if the product has not yet released.
  • Orders are accepted in advance and shipped when the products are available after the release.
  • Front-end users can view the Expected Delivery Date of the product.
  • Admin and vendors can get a quantity requirement of the product even if the product is not available in the store.
The pre-order facility is provided only for the following types of products:
  • Simple Product
  • Configurable Product
  • Grouped Product
  • Bundle Product
