Product Linking

Product linking is essential for maintaining accurate inventory synchronization between Amazon and Shopify. This feature ensures that product data, stock levels, and listings remain aligned across both platforms, preventing discrepancies and improving efficiency.

Product Linking Statuses

Understanding product linking statuses helps in effectively managing inventory and resolving listing issues.

Close Match

Close-match products are those identified by the app as potential matches based on criteria like title, SKU, or other product attributes. These suggested matches allow you to quickly link Amazon and Shopify products by reviewing and confirming the connection.

Linking Required

These are unlinked products that exist in Amazon or Shopify but have no corresponding match between the two platforms.

Since they are not mapped, their inventory and status updates do not sync. To enable proper sync and inventory management, these products must be linked.

Linked

Linked products are successfully mapped between Amazon and Shopify, ensuring a seamless inventory sync and order management process. Once a product is linked, updates in one system can reflect in the other, minimizing inconsistencies.

Listings not found

These products were previously available on Amazon but are now removed or inactive. These listings remain in the system for reference, helping you keep track of inventory changes and prevent discrepancies in Shopify.

  1. Identifying Unlinked Products

  • Within the Product Linking section, look for products under the "Listing Required" and "Close Match" categories.

  • These products require attention to ensure inventory consistency across platforms.

3. Selecting an Amazon Product

  • Identify the Amazon product that needs to be linked.

  • Click the "Link" button next to the product to initiate the process.

4. Finding the Corresponding Shopify Product

  • Search for the relevant Shopify product using the title or SKU to ensure an accurate match.

5. Linking Products

  • Once you have found the corresponding Shopify product, click "Link" to establish the connection.

  • Click on “Confirm”

  • This final step ensures the selected Amazon product is now mapped to its Shopify counterpart, enabling inventory synchronization and streamlined order fulfillment.

Why Product Linking Matters

Product linking eliminates discrepancies and maintains accurate inventory levels between Amazon and Shopify. When you ensure that each product is properly mapped, you can:

  • Prevent overselling or stock inconsistencies.

  • Automate inventory updates between platforms.

  • Improve order fulfillment efficiency.

Maintaining a well-linked inventory ensures smooth operations and better management of your multi-channel sales strategy.
