A production partner on Etsy is a third-party company or individual that helps create, produce, or fulfill products based on your original designs. This can include services such as printing, engraving, or manufacturing. Production partners range from small artisans to large-scale facilities and allow you to scale your operations without handling production yourself.
Transparency with Buyers
Etsy requires that sellers disclose the use of production partners in their listings. This transparency allows buyers to see who is involved in creating the products, which helps build trust. Information about the production partner is displayed in the shop’s About section, which helps customers understand the origins of the products they are purchasing.
While you are required to share the business name and location of your production partner, you can choose to keep some details private and provide a general description of the partner's services (e.g., “Apparel printer”).
How to Add, Edit, or Remove a Production Partner (in Etsy)
Adding a Partner: You can add a production partner through the Production Partner Manager in Shop Manager, entering the business name, location, and description of the partnership.
Editing or Removing a Partner: To update or remove a production partner, go to the Listings Page or Production Partners Manager, where changes are automatically reflected in all linked listings.
