Products Settings

The product setting of the app helps you manage and sync products between your Shopify store and TikTok Shop.
You can perform the following functions under this tab:
  1. Product Custom Pricing: You can set the price rule, i.e., set percentage increase or decrease or fixed price increase and decrease rule. For example, if you want an increase of 10% on all products, choose percentage increment & then write 10%.
  2. Price Sync Preference:  The app allows you to define how product pricing from your Shopify store is reflected on TikTok Shop. This ensures price consistency and gives you flexibility in presenting discounts or promotional pricing.

1. Product Price (Default)

  1. Sync the product's standard Shopify price to TikTok Shop as the retail price.
  2. This is the most commonly used pricing setup for regular listings.
  3. It reflects the selling price currently active on your Shopify store.

2. Compare At Price

  1. Sync the Shopify Compare At Price as the TikTok Shop retail price.
  2. The Compare At Price in Shopify represents the original price of a product before a discount.
  3. This setting is not intended for showing discounts visually, but rather for adjusting the perceived value.

3. Strike-through Price Sync

  1. Enable this option to sync your Shopify Compare At Price as a strike-through price on TikTok Shop.
  2. A strike-through price is a crossed-out price that appears above or beside the actual selling price, clearly indicating a discount.
  3. When enabled alongside Product Price sync, TikTok will display the Compare At Price as the original price and the Product Price as the discounted price.
  4. This is ideal for highlighting markdowns and promotional offers visually on the TikTok Shop product page.

  1. Auto Product Deactivate or Delete: Control how product removals or status changes in your Shopify store impact your TikTok Shop listings. This setting ensures product data stays consistent across platforms by automatically handling discontinued or hidden products.

When a Product is Deleted from Shopify:

1. Delete from TikTok Shop:

Permanently removes the product from TikTok Shop when it is deleted from your Shopify store.
Individual variants will not be deleted—only the main product.
Temporarily disables the product on TikTok Shop instead of deleting it. This allows you to retain the listing for future use or reference without customers being able to purchase the item.

When a Product is Moved to Draft or Archived in Shopify:

1. Automatically Deactivate on TikTok Shop (Optional)

Enable this option to ensure that any product set to Draft or Archived status in Shopify is also deactivated on TikTok Shop automatically.
This prevents products that are no longer live in your Shopify storefront from continuing to sell on TikTok Shop.

  1. White Background Optimization for Main Image: Enable this option to optimize first image of your listings with white background for your new and existing products to comply your listings with TikTok Shop's policies.
  1. Currency Converter: The app considers your Shopify currency of payment as the region-wise currency of your Shop. You can verify the information here if required

  1. Inventory Sync Behaviour: Define how inventory levels for specific products should be managed on TikTok Shop—especially for products where you don’t want to follow your Shopify store’s stock constraints.

1. Use Shopify Inventory:

  1. Synchronize product inventory based on the actual stock available in your Shopify store.
  2. This option ensures that only in-stock items in Shopify are listed on TikTok Shop, helping avoid overselling.

2. Use Fixed Custom Inventory:

  1. Set a predefined, static inventory value (e.g., 999) that will be pushed to TikTok Shop for all selected products—regardless of actual stock in Shopify.
  2. Best suited for digital items, made-to-order goods, or drop shipped products with virtually unlimited supply.

  1. Efficient Inventory Control: To help you manage your stock smartly between TikTok Shop and your Shopify store, CedCommerce offers two powerful inventory control options. You can activate either Reserve Inventory or Threshold Inventory, based on your stock management preference — but not both at once.

Reserve Inventory:

Use this to reserve a fixed portion of your total stock for your connected store and prevent it from being sold on TikTok Shop.

How It Works:

  1. You set a percentage of your stock as “reserved.”
  2. The system deducts that percentage from your available inventory before syncing to TikTok.
Example: If your Shopify inventory is 100 units and you set Reserve Inventory to 20%, only 80 units will sync to TikTok Shop.

Threshold Inventory:

Use this to define a minimum stock threshold for syncing inventory to TikTok Shop.

How It Works:

  1. When your total inventory drops below the threshold, the product is shown as out of stock on TikTok.
  2. TikTok buyers won’t be able to purchase once the stock hits the defined limit, even though some quantity may remain in your primary store.

  1. Meta-Attributes: Enable this option to import Shopify attributes for product dimensions, allowing you to add Shopify Meta Attributes while adding/editing products in categories.
  2. Global Meta-Attribute Mapping: Ensure your products are consistent across Shopify and TikTok Shop by mapping key global attributes like Title and Description. This guarantees consistent visibility and standardized product information between Shopify and TikTok Shop, helping customers find and trust your products effortlessly.

  1. Global Product Replication: Toggle this option ON to manage and replicate global products across multiple regions where your Shop is operational.
  2. Skip GIFs on Upload: Enable this option to remove GIFs from your listings while uploading them on TikTok. As per the guidelines issued by TikTok - GIFs are not supported on TikTok as part of the product listings. Enabling this option will allow the app to upload all the products (even those that have GIFs as part of their listings) on TikTok, removing GIFs to avoid any failure.
