81% of shoppers on TikTok Shop say they look for great deals on the platform that influence their purchase decisions. To help you drive sales and keep customers coming back, TikTok Shop provides a powerful suite of promotion tools. These tools empower sellers to offer compelling deals, create excitement among buyers, and ultimately boost sales. With customizable options, you can design promotions tailored to your audience and sales goals, ensuring you maximize engagement and revenue.
For example, you can create limited-time discounts on trending products. Suppose you’re selling skincare products. By offering a 30% discount on a popular facial serum for 48 hours, you can create urgency among buyers, encourage impulse purchases, and stand out in TikTok’s dynamic shopping environment.
By leveraging these tools through the app, you can deliver delightful shopping experiences while building strong customer loyalty.
Here’s how it works:
1. Navigate to the Promotions Section
Locate the "Promotions" tab in the dashboard, under the Marketing head to view and manage all promotional campaigns.
2. Choose a Promotion Type
Select from options like limited-time product discounts or flash sales based on your sales strategy.
3. Set Up Your Promotion
- Select Products: Choose specific items or collections to include in the promotion.
- Define Terms: Set discount percentages or fixed discount prices.
- Schedule Duration: Specify the start and end dates to align with sales goals or seasonal trends.
4. Preview and Confirm
Review your promotion details to ensure accuracy, then activate the campaign.
5. Promote on TikTok
Use engaging TikTok videos, influencer collaborations, or in-app ads to spotlight your promotion and reach more potential buyers.
6. Monitor Performance
Track key metrics like clicks, conversions, and sales during the campaign to measure its success and optimize future promotions.
2. Once you click on the tab, you will be redirected to the Promotions page, as shown above.
3. Now, you can Create and Manage the promotions you created.
4. Under the Create a Promotion tab, you will see Product Discount and Flash Sale.
- Product Discount: A promotional tool that allows you to set special prices on your products, either as a percentage off (e.g., 20% off) or a fixed amount (e.g., $20 off). You can easily create these discounts right through the app. This helps you stay competitive by offering better deals than other sellers with similar products. It’s simple to use and flexible, so you can adjust your discounts based on your business needs or trending products, making it easier to attract buyers and boost sales.
- Flash Sales: A promotion tool that lets you create limited-time offers. It boosts sales because it creates urgency with high discounts or limited stock, encouraging shoppers to buy immediately. Flash Deals can help you sell out best-sellers or clear inventory faster. Plus, they increase your shop’s visibility, bringing in more views, clicks, and orders. Shoppers drawn to your Flash Deal might explore your other products too, giving your entire shop more exposure.
Now, say you wish to create a Product Discount.
Percentage Off: Offer a specific percentage discount, like 20% off, to attract buyers with easy-to-understand savings.
Fixed Discount: Set a fixed price reduction, like $20 off, for clear and straightforward deals.
- After choosing the discount type, select the products you want to apply the discount to. You have the option to either apply the discount on Product level or variation level (of a product).
- Once you have selected the products for the discount, you can view their original price and add the percentage discount or the deal price (based on your selection above on Percentage off or Fixed Price) next to them, which will be visible to the shoppers online.
- You can also perform Bulk Actions on the page.
- Select the products you wish to perform bulk actions on.
- Now, in the tab that opens above the grid, you will get the following options to input your data:
1. Discount: You can add the discount percentage or fixed deal for the selected products.
2. Total Purchase Limit: You can add the number of units of the products that are available for the discount promotion. For example, say you have 100 units of Product X, but you only wish to sell 40 units of this product at a discount percentage of 20%. In this case, you will add 40 in this section. You can select a limit or choose No Limit as per your Shop requirements.
3. Customer Purchase Limit: You can add the number of units of the product available at the discount price that a customer can purchase. You can select a limit or choose No Limit as per your Shop requirements.
