When your products from Shopify are imported into the SHEIN Sales Channel app, the app helps organize them in the most suitable format using templates and rules, making sure they align with SHEIN’s category, attribute, and listing requirements.
To take full control of how products are categorized and published on SHEIN, follow the below steps to add certain/all products to a template as per your need.
Using different rule groups, you can add products to the template. Let’s understand the following terminologies before adding the products:
Product attribute: This is the product field from Shopify that you want to use to filter products. You can choose from:
Product title
Product vendor
Product type
Condition: This is how the selected attribute is matched. Choose one of the following:
Equals
Not equals
Contains
Does not contain
Attribute value: This is the actual value you want to match. For example, if the product vendor is “Nike,” enter Nike.
Rule groups: A rule group is a set of conditions that help select matching products. You can add:
Multiple conditions inside a rule group
Multiple rule groups within one template
Let’s say you want to assign all Nike men's training shoes to a specific SHEIN template for sports footwear.
Here’s how you can do it:
Product attribute | Condition | Attribute value |
Product title | Contains | Men MC Trainer Training Shoes |
Product type | Equals | Training Shoes |
Product vendor | Equals | Nike |
Product attribute | Condition | Attribute value |
Product title | Contains | Men Training Sneakers |
Product vendor | Equals | Adidas |
In this case:
The product will be added if it matches either Rule Group 1 or Rule Group 2
This follows the OR logic: if either group is satisfied, the product is included
If no products are found that match your set rules, you’ll get the following error message. In such cases, please check the existing templates or retry after changing the rules. If you still find the error message, please contact support at: {support email id}.
Field | What it means | What to enter |
Shopify Option Name | This is the label for your variation on Shopify | For example: Color, Size, or Pattern |
Shopify Option Value | The actual value of the option | For example: Red, Medium, Floral |
SHEIN Option Name | The equivalent label accepted by SHEIN | Choose from SHEIN’s accepted values like Color, Size, Style Type, Material, etc. |
SHEIN Option Value | The mapped value SHEIN requires | For example, if Shopify shows Red, SHEIN might accept only Red or a standardized color name |
Sometimes your product doesn’t have any options like size or color on Shopify. In that case, Shopify assigns a default variant labeled as Default Title.
Follow these steps to map such products:
Step 1: In the Shopify option name, enter Default Title (or leave it as is if pre-filled).
Step 2: In the Shopify option value, keep the Default Title.
Step 3: In the SHEIN option name, select an accepted field like Color or Style Type.
Step 4: In the SHEIN option value, enter a specific value such as Black or Oversized.
Let’s say you’re selling a t-shirt that comes in multiple colors:
Shopify value | SHEIN value |
Option name: Color | Option name: Color |
Option values: Red, Blue, Green | Option values: Red, Blue, Green |
The Size Chart helps your customers make better buying decisions by giving them clear size measurements, especially useful for fashion and apparel products.
What to Know:
Only enter numeric values (no text or symbols).
Measurements must be:
Greater than 0
Up to 2 decimal places (e.g., 12.5 or 32.75)
In the correct units that SHEIN requires (e.g., centimeters or inches, depending on the field
Improves listing quality: Products with a size chart are more likely to be approved faster and ranked better.
Reduces returns: Clear sizing information helps buyers choose the right fit.
Boosts buyer confidence: Shows you care about accuracy and customer experience.
Example:
If you’re selling a women’s top, your size chart might include:
Ensure all values are positive, in cm, and match the sizing guide used by SHEIN.
This step ensures your product is listed correctly under the right brand and region on SHEIN, with accurate packaging details for fulfillment.
What this means: SHEIN requires every product to be listed under a valid brand name, whether it's your own brand or a generic label.
How to use this field:
Click the dropdown: "Please select a brand" to choose from the available options.
If your brand was recently added or updated and is not showing, click “Refresh Brands” to fetch the latest list.
Choose the brand that matches your product label, as shown on SHEIN or what your customers will recognize.
What this means: SHEIN operates across multiple storefront regions (like the US, UK, and EU). You must assign your product to the right storefront subsite where you want it to be listed.
How to use this field:
Click the "Select Subsite" dropdown.
Pick the region where you want this product to be sold.
If you cannot find your storefront subsite region, click “Refresh Storefront Regions” to load the latest available options.
To ensure successful shipping and listing, you must add the packaging size and weight of your product.
Rules:
All values must be positive and in centimeters (cm) and grams (g).
Avoid using zeros or negative numbers.
Why this matters: Incorrect packaging info may lead to order rejections or delivery errors.
To ensure your product gets accepted by SHEIN, make sure all the packaging size inputs meet the following criteria:
Minimum: 0.01 cm
Maximum: 270.00 cm
Minimum: 0.01 g
Maximum: 80,000.00 g
When your products are fetched via rules or through manual category selection, SHEIN’s category-based system automatically identifies what attributes are required for each product. These attributes help classify and display your products accurately on SHEIN.
How to add attributes:
This section lets you control how your product prices are synced on SHEIN, relative to your Shopify store.
Same price as on Shopify
The price on SHEIN will exactly match your Shopify price.
Best for keeping consistent pricing across platforms.
By fixed value
Add or subtract a flat amount from your Shopify price.
By percentage
Adjust pricing by a specific percentage.
Use Shopify’s compare at price
You can select either the sale price or the original price (compare at price) based on what’s active on your Shopify listing.
