Walmart feeds are the structured data files or information sent to Walmart's platform to update or manage your product listings. This process includes adding new product listings, updating existing listings, and managing inventory or pricing. Feeds allow you to communicate product information to Walmart.
Key Features of Walmart Feeds:
1. Updating Item Feeds: Update the feed status to track the progress of feeds sent to Walmart. The status can be Submitted, In Progress, Processed, or Error.
- You can update your product information (like price, inventory, or descriptions) using feeds.
- These updates are sent to Walmart.com through the Walmart Feed section in your dashboard.
2. Viewing Feed Status: View the feed to check the status of the SKUs and any errors encountered while processing the feed request, if any, that were sent in the feed file.
- After a feed is submitted, its status can be tracked.
- This ensures that you know if Walmart has successfully processed the product updates.
3. Accepted or Rejected Items:
- Walmart reviews submitted feeds to verify compliance with its guidelines.
- Each item is marked as a success or error based on whether it meets Walmart’s requirements.
4. Error Identification:
- The system provides a list of errors or reasons for rejecting SKUs. This helps you fix the issues and re-submit the feed.
Item Feeds:
The Item Feed contains all the product details, such as price, title, shipping rates, etc., except the product's inventory.
In this section, you can view the Feed ID assigned to the selected items.
This section will display the status of the feeds and whether the request is processed, accepted, or rejected.
- Created At: This section displays the date, the feed was created.
- Item Received: This section displays the number of items, included in the feed to be processed by Walmart.
- Item Succeeded: This section includes items that Walmart has accepted for selling on the marketplace.
- Items Failed: This section included items that Walmart has rejected for one or another reason for selling on the marketplace.
- Item Processing: This section displays the items that are still in processing and are awaiting approval from Walmart.
You can also update the feed status in bulk for all the feeds with the bulk action tab. Simply select all the products and select bulk action of Update Feed status.
Similarly, you can view and edit Price Feed, Inventory Feed, and Retire Feed sections.
