Why does the app assign a “Custom SKU” to products in the Etsy App Settings?

The app assigns a Custom SKU in the following cases:


  1. When variant products don’t have SKUs assigned.
  2. When there are duplicate SKUs across products.

In such scenarios, the app automatically generates unique SKUs to ensure seamless syncing and avoid errors during product updates on Etsy.
