What is Profiling and Why is it Important?

Profiling is a necessary step when listing products from Shopify to Etsy because Shopify and Etsy have different platform requirements. Some fields that are mandatory on Etsy may not be required on Shopify. Through profiling, you provide the required information for Etsy, ensuring your product listings meet Etsy's criteria. Profiling is similar to creating Shopify Collections, where you define a set of rules that include Product Attributes, Marketplace Category, Shipping Information, and other necessary details for Etsy. This data is then automatically applied to your products when you publish them through the app.

Profiling is a one-time process per category, and once completed, the rules will be applied to all products within that profile. This eliminates the need to manually fill out these details for each product individually, making it easier to list products on Etsy.
