Overview
The TikTok Attributes section allows you to map your store’s product attributes with the required TikTok Shop attributes. Proper attribute mapping ensures accurate product listing, smooth product sync, and successful uploads to TikTok Shop.
Account View
At the top of the page, you’ll see the Account View dropdown. If you have multiple TikTok Shop accounts connected, select your desired account to view or update its attributes.
Attribute Grid
This page displays all TikTok Marketplace attributes available for the selected account. Each row represents a single TikTok attribute and includes:
- Marketplace Attribute Code – TikTok’s unique identifier for the attribute.
- Marketplace Attribute Name – The name of the attribute (e.g., Edition, Author, Edition Type).
- Type – Format of the attribute (string, select, number, etc.).
- Required – Indicates whether TikTok mandates this attribute for listings in relevant categories.
- Category Dependent – Shows if the attribute applies only to specific product categories.
- Is Variant – Indicates whether the attribute affects product variations.
- Information – Provides additional notes about the attribute.
- Magento Attribute – Shows the store attribute mapped to TikTok's attribute.
- Default Recommended Value – Some TikTok attributes do not always need dynamic product-level data. Instead, they may accept a pre-defined constant value. In such cases, the integration provides a Default Recommended Value.
- Default Custom Value – If the Default Recommended Value does not fit your catalog, you can manually enter your own Default Custom Value.
- Actions Menu – Options to perform advanced mappings. It includes:
- Map For a Specific Category: Use this when the same attribute needs a different mapping for different categories. This allows category-level attribute overrides without affecting your global mapping.
- Upload File as Custom Value: Use this when TikTok requires values you don’t store in your catalog, or when you want to upload predefined values via CSV.
- Map Options: This feature allows you to map TikTok’s predefined options to your store’s corresponding values.
Key Actions
A. Assign Attributes
Click Assign Attributes after selecting store attributes for all required TikTok attributes.
What this does:
- Saves your attribute mapping.
- Updates the listing template used during product upload/sync.
- Applies mapping across all categories where that attribute is relevant.
B. Fetch Attributes
If certain TikTok attributes are missing or outdated, click Fetch Attributes to import the latest list directly from TikTok Shop.
Use this when:
- New TikTok categories are added.
- TikTok updates attribute requirements.
- You don't see an expected attribute in the grid.
