Other Templates

These templates will help you to standardize key details and simplify the listing process to ensure that all the products comply with Walmart's requirements as well as a standard set of rules, as per your Store.
In this section, you can get an overview of two templates, viz..
Price Template
Inventory Template

Price Template:

Manage and update product prices for Walmart Marketplace efficiently. This feature ensures that your pricing strategy remains competitive and compliant.

How It Works:

  1. Centralized Price Control: The price template consolidates all pricing data, enabling you to modify product prices for Walmart Marketplace directly from the app, rather than updating individual listings.
  2. Mapping with Profiles: Each price template must be mapped to the corresponding profile. Profiles group products based on shared attributes like category or inventory source. Mapping ensures that price updates apply only to the correct set of products.
  3. Updating Prices: After mapping the price template to a profile, use the Update Price option within the Manage Products grid. This action syncs the updated prices with Walmart.com in real-time, ensuring accurate marketplace listings.

Inventory Template:

This feature ensures accurate inventory tracking and helps maintain synchronization between your store and Walmart, minimizing overselling or stockouts.

How It Works:

  1. Centralized Inventory Control: The inventory template allows you to update and manage stock quantities for your Walmart listings directly from the app, without manually adjusting each product.
  2. Mapping with Profiles:
    1. Each inventory template must be mapped to the corresponding profile.
    2. Profiles group products with shared characteristics (e.g., category or source warehouse), ensuring stock updates apply to the right set of items.
  3. Automatic Syncing: Once the inventory template is mapped and configured, stock levels automatically sync between your app and Walmart Marketplace whenever updates occur in your source inventory.
Now, in this section of the app, you can create any of the above-mentioned templates simply by clicking on the Create Template button and selecting the type of template you wish to create.

How to Create a Price Template

  1. Upon clicking on the Create Template button and selecting the Price Template option, you will be redirected to the Create Template page.
  2. Here, enter the Name that you wish to assign to this template
  3. Next, select the price (Shopify price) that you wish to manage through the app.
  4. Now, select the Shopify price attribute, which is either the Shopify price or the Shopify Compare at Price.
Shopify Compare at Price is the strikethrough price visible next to your products on Walmart. For example, if you have a product X priced at $50, the Shopify Compare at Price is $45, the same will be visible next to your product on Walmart with a strikethrough on the original pricing.
  1. Next, add the custom pricing, whether fixed or a percentage, on your product as per your wish.
  2. Lastly, you can select to round off the prices of your products on Walmart.

How to Create an Inventory Template

  1. Enter the Name that you wish to assign to this template.
  2. Set the minimum inventory level under the threshold inventory tab, after which the product will reflect “Out Of Stock” status. This prevents you from overselling.
  3. For the products that you wish to sell without any stock limitations, you can add a maximum inventory value.
  4. Next, add the Reserve Inventory quantity to put aside your stocks. This reserve acts as a buffer to account for unexpected issues, such as delayed stock replenishment or order cancellations.
For example, if you have 100 units of stock and reserve 20 units. This means only 80 stock units are now available to be sold on Walmart.
  1. Lastly, you can map Shopify Locations to Walmart Locations, ensuring that inventory is sourced from the correct location and accurately reflected on Walmart.
    1. Add New Row: Add a new mapping between a Walmart and a Shopify location.
    2. Refresh Locations: Click to fetch the latest list of Shopify and Walmart fulfillment locations in case new ones have been added recently.
  2. Once done, click Save Template.
