Adding/Editing the Listing Template

Creating a New Listing Template  

This section allows you to create and configure a new Listing Template for your TikTok Shop products. Listing Templates define how products are categorized, priced, displayed, and synced from Magento to TikTok.

Once created, this template can be assigned to multiple products individually or in bulk. 

1. Click the Add Template button on the top-right of the page.


Step 1: Template Details 

Field
Description
Template Name
Enter a recognizable name for the template. This is for internal reference only.
Marketplace Categories
Select the TikTok category in which the products should be listed. Use the category dropdown or search bar to locate the correct category.

Notes
Some TikTok categories are invitation-only. If a category shows a restriction message, click the provided link to request access directly from TikTok.


Step 2: Override Existing Products 

Override Assigned Products

Set to Yes if you want products currently assigned to another Listing Template to be reassigned to this one. Keep No to only apply this template to new or manually selected products.

Use this option carefully if you are managing multiple templates across different product sets.  


Step 3: Policies 

Policies allow you to control how your product data is pushed to TikTok. 
Policy 
Defines
Image Policy
Which images should be used on TikTok Listings
Pricing Policy
How product price should be displayed and whether price rules apply
Inventory Policy
How stock quantity syncs and whether buffer/reserve rules apply

Policies must be created in advance under their respective configuration sections.


Step 4: Conditions (Optional) 

Use conditions to assign products to this template based on product attributes automatically. 
Example Use Cases: 
  1. Assign this template to all products in a specific category.
  2. Filter products containing a particular Brand, SKU pattern, Attribute value, etc. 
How to Apply Conditions: 
  1. Click the green “+” icon to add a condition.
  2. Define the condition logic.
  3. Click Apply Query to preview the filtered product list below. 

Products matching the conditions will appear in the product grid.

Step 5: Product Preview List 

A table will appear showing products that meet the selected conditions. 
  1. Thumbnail: Preview image of the product.
  2. Name: Magento product name.
  3. SKU: SKU used for sync & order mapping.
  4. Type: Product type (simple, configurable, etc).
  5. Status: Product enable/disable status in Magento. 

This helps verify whether the correct products are included before saving the template.

Step 6: Save Template 

Once all configurations are complete:
  1. Click Save (top-right corner).
  2. You will be redirected back to the Listing Templates page. 
Next Required Step: After saving, navigate to Attributes Mapping to ensure TikTok-required attributes are correctly aligned with Magento product attributes 

Creating a TikTok Listing Template helps standardize how multiple products get listed and synchronized to TikTok. Make sure to: 
  1. Select the correct TikTok Shop category
  2. Apply relevant sync policies
  3. Use conditions if you want automatic assignment
  4. Map attributes after saving.
