AliExpress Attributes

The AliExpress Attributes section provides an overview of the attributes required within a given AliExpress category that you have associated with a category template. It also allows you to map those AliExpress marketplace attributes with your Magento attributes or assign custom/recommended values.



Actions You Can Perform in AliExpress Attributes:

  • Map the AliExpress attribute with the Magento attribute.

  • Assign Attributes.

  • Delete existing attributes.

  • Fetch updated attributes from the marketplace into Magento.

1. Attributes Mapping

Step 1: In the AliExpress Attributes table, click on the row of the attribute you wish to update.

Step 2: Select the Magento attribute you want to map with the AliExpress attribute. You also have the option to assign a Custom Value or use a Recommended Value for this attribute if needed.

Step 3: Click on the Save button to finalize your changes.

2. Assign Attributes

Step 1: Click on the Assign Attributes button located at the top right of the page.

Step 2: To assign attributes, select your desired Listing Template from the menu that appears. If you intend to apply the attributes to all categories, leave the category unselected in the listing template.

Step 3: Click on Confirm to proceed.

3. Delete an Attribute

Step 1: Select the attributes you want to delete by checking the boxes in the first column of the attributes table.

Step 2: Navigate to the Actions dropdown.

Step 3: Choose the Delete option.

Step 4: A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click OK to delete the selected attributes.

4. Fetch Attributes

Step 1: Click on the Fetch Attributes button at the top right of the page.

Step 2: Choose a category from the listing template. If you want to fetch all categories, leave the selection blank and click Confirm.

Description of Fields in AliExpress Attributes

  • ID: Unique identifier of the attribute.

  • Marketplace Attribute Code: Code representing the attribute on AliExpress.

  • Marketplace Attribute Name: The name of the attribute as defined in AliExpress.

  • Type: Attribute type (e.g., text, numeric, singleSelect).

  • Required: Indicates if the attribute is mandatory on AliExpress.

  • Category Dependent: Shows whether the attribute is category-specific. Example: “Package Length” is category dependent while “Description” is not.

  • Is Variant: Indicates if the attribute can be used for product variations.

  • Magento Attribute: The Magento attribute mapped with the AliExpress attribute. You can also set a custom value here.

  • Default Recommended Value: Predefined values recommended by AliExpress (if available).

  • Default Custom Value: Custom value entered by you if the recommended ones don’t match (e.g., AliExpress recommends colors yellow, green, blue, but your product is white — you can add white here).

  • Is Changed: Status showing if the attribute has been updated since the last sync.

  • Actions: Options to map attributes category-wise, or perform actions like edit/delete.
