Product Import Settings

Product Import Settings

The Product Import tab is where you bring products from your Shopify store into the app. It sits on the Shopify To App side of the connection and gives you several ways to choose exactly which products get imported: by filter, by collection, or one at a time by ID.

Import by Filters

Import by Filters lets you pull in products that match conditions you set, which is the most flexible way to import a defined slice of your catalog.

The Published Status dropdown filters by whether products are published on your store, with options for All, Published, and Unpublished.

The Product Status dropdown filters by the product's Shopify status, with options for Active, Archived, and Draft.

Under Additional Filters, you can narrow further by Vendor and Product Type.

Once your filters are set, the Import Products button runs the import and brings in every Shopify product that matches. This is the method to use when you want to import by characteristics.

Import by Collection

It lets you import products based on the Shopify collections they belong to. The app shows your collections, and you choose which ones to import from by ticking the checkbox next to each.

You can use the Search collections box to find a collection, tick individual collections, or use Select All to choose every collection at once. When you've made your selection, the Import Collection Products button brings in the products from those collections. This is the quickest path when your catalog is already organized into collections that match how you want to group products for eBay.

Import Product by ID

Import Product by ID lets you bring in a single specific product by its Shopify Product ID, rather than importing in bulk. You enter the ID in the Shopify Product ID field, which you can find in the product's Shopify admin URL, and then the Import Product button imports just that product. This is the right method for one-off cases, such as pulling in a single product you've just added without running a full import.

Import and replace product

The Import and replace product toggle changes how an import behaves. When it's on, importing from Shopify based on your applied filters also replaces and removes the other existing products in the app that fall outside those filters. In effect, it makes the app's catalog match exactly what your filters return.
