Managing Profiles

Product profiling helps you organize and manage how your Shopify products are listed on AliExpress Marketplace. Profiles let you group products under unified rules for category mapping, attribute mapping, pricing logic, and sync behavior, ensuring consistent and compliant listings.

What is a Product Profile?

A product profile is a preset configuration that defines how products in that group should be listed on AliExpress.

Each profile includes:
  • AliExpress Category Selection – Assign the right AliExpress marketplace category

  • Attribute Mapping – Map Shopify attributes to AliExpress attributes (including GPSR for EU)

  • Pricing Rules – Apply standard pricing logic

  • Title Customization & Sync Settings – Define how product data is displayed and synced

Note: All Shopify products fall under the Default Profile initially. You can create Custom Profiles for different sets of products (by vendor, tags, product type, etc.).

Why Use Product Profiling?

  • Update settings for hundreds of products at once

  • Apply category-specific attributes quickly

  • Ensure EU compliance (GPSR fields, Responsible Person info)

  • Automate bulk uploads with consistent mapping

Managing Product Profiles

Go to the Profile section in the left-hand menu:

  • Create Profile – Build a new profile from scratch

  • Edit Profile – Modify existing mapping or rules

Each profile lets you:

  • Assign category & attributes

  • Define pricing logic

  • Map required, variation, recommended, and GPSR attributes

How to Create a Profile?

Step 1: Go to the Profile Section

From the app dashboard, click Profile → Create.
Enter a clear profile name (e.g., “Beauty & Wellness – EU”).

Step 2: Assign Products to the Profile (Rule Group)

Use conditions to auto-assign Shopify products:

  • Any Condition – Products matching one rule are included

  • All Conditions – Products must meet all rules

Conditions can use Title, Tags, Vendor, Product Type, or Price.

Example:

  • Tag = “Home Decor”

  • Price > 15

Run the query to preview matches.

Step 3: Select AliExpress Product Category

Search and select the correct AliExpress category.

  • This determines which attributes are required.

  • If you change category later, required fields may change.

Step 4: Map Product Attributes

AliExpress requires attributes to be filled correctly.

  • Required Attributes (Mandatory)

  • Brand, package dimensions (L+W+H < 300 cm), delivery method

  • Must be mapped before saving

  • Product Qualification Attributes (GPSR – EU Compliance)

  • Package/label photos

  • Safety warnings

  • Manufacturer details

  • EU Responsible Person info

    Warning Mandatory for EU compliance.

Steps to find and enter shipping template ID, Manufacturer Info and EU Responsible Person

To get the shipping template ID, click the blue redirect icon to open your AliExpress seller central.

In the Template ID column, locate the template you want to link and copy its ID as shown in the screenshot above.

Alternatively, you can also create a new template and copy its ID to link it with the app.

Enter/ Paste this ID in the Required Attributes section to ensure smooth syncing of shipping details.

And you're done!

As with the shipping template ID, click the blue redirect icon to open the page shown below.

Copy the Name of the EU Responsible Person and paste it into the field provided in the app.

For Manufacturer Info, follow the same steps [refer to the screenshot below] and enter the Manufacturer Information Name in the respective field.

Now move on to  Variation Attributes

  • Variation Attributes (Optional, for variants)

  • Map Shopify options like Size, Color → AliExpress values

  • Recommended Attributes (Optional)

  • Hazmat, Certificates, Package Contents

  • Improves listing visibility but not mandatory

Note: Attribute mapping depends on accurate category mapping from the previous step, since attributes differ for each category.

Step 5: Title SEO Optimization

Customize how your product titles appear on AliExpress. Optimized titles help improve product visibility and ranking in AliExpress search results.

How it works: You can build the AliExpress product title by combining different attributes from your Shopify store, such as: Handle, Product Type, Brand, etc.

Note: If no rule is selected, the app will use your original Shopify product title as the AliExpress title.

Example: If you select Handle + Product Type + Brand and add a keyword like “Sale”, your AliExpress product title could look like:  “YogaMat – Fitness Equipment – BrandX Sale”

Tip: Keep titles concise, relevant, and keyword-rich to maximize search performance on AliExpress.

Step 6: Set Pricing Rules

AliExpress applies global pricing. You can choose whether to apply rules on Regular Price, Sale Price, or both.

Options include:

  • Fixed Increment/Decrement (e.g., add +$2 to Shopify price)

  • Percentage Increment/Decrement (e.g., +5% over Shopify price)

  • Multiply (e.g., 1.2 × Shopify price)

  • None (use Shopify price as-is)

Example:

  • Fixed Increment/Decrement: If your Shopify price is $20 and you set +$2, the AliExpress price will be $22.

  • Percentage Increment/Decrement: If your Shopify price is $100 and you set +5%, the AliExpress price will be $105.

  • Multiply: If your Shopify price is $50 and you set 1.2×, the AliExpress price will be $60.

  • None: If your Shopify price is $30, the AliExpress price will also be $30.

Tip: Disable “Sale Price” if you only want the Regular Price pushed to AliExpress.

Step 7: Save the Profile

Click Save. The profile will now apply to all matched products.

  • Future matching products will auto-assign.

  • Profiles can be edited anytime.

AliExpress product profiles ensure bulk products are listed correctly, meet GPSR requirements for EU markets, and maintain clean, optimized pricing and titles without needing region-based settings.
