GTIN Exemption on Amazon

A GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) exemption allows sellers to list products on Amazon without needing a standard product identifier such as a UPC, EAN, or ISBN. This exemption is particularly useful for:

  • Handmade, custom-made, or private-label products.
  • Products that do not have a manufacturer-issued barcode.
  • Sellers who wish to avoid purchasing barcodes for each product.

By obtaining a GTIN exemption, sellers can streamline the listing process and reduce costs while ensuring their products are eligible to be sold on Amazon.
