Introducing the Value Mapping feature in the CedCommerce Amazon Channel App, designed to simplify the process of listing products on Amazon while ensuring compliance with listing standards. By mapping Shopify attribute values—such as size, color, and pattern—to Amazon’s accepted values, you can enhance product visibility and improve sales performance
The Value Mapping feature enables Shopify sellers to align Amazon-accepted attribute values with their Shopify product attributes. This process only modifies the attribute values for Amazon without affecting their values in Shopify. It ensures that your listings comply with Amazon’s marketplace standards while maintaining data consistency in your Shopify store.
Available for Templates based on product categories that support variants.
Ensures accurate product attribute alignment without modifying Shopify product data.
Helps avoid listing errors and enhances product discoverability on Amazon.
For example, if Shopify uses 'S' for the Size attribute, but Amazon requires 'Small' for the Size Name attribute, you can:
Use a template to map Shopify’s ‘Size’ attribute with Amazon’s ‘Size Name’ attribute.
Utilize Value Mapping to link ‘S’ in Shopify to ‘Small’ in Amazon.
This process ensures that your listings meet Amazon’s standards without altering your Shopify store’s data.
Currently, certain attributes are not available for mapping in the Value Mapping section due to system limitations. These include:
Shopify Attributes: Title, Description, Handle, Type, SKU, Barcode, Price, Tags, Quantity, Brand.
Amazon Attribute: Variation Theme.
App-Specific Attribute: Type.
You can access the Value Mapping feature in two ways:
From the Template Grid – Click on the “Map Attribute Value” link.
After Saving a Template – If the template meets the criteria, you will be prompted to map values.
Ensure seamless and error-free product listings on Amazon, improving visibility and increasing sales opportunities.
