Once you have successfully installed the AliExpress Connector for Magento, the setup wizard will guide you through the onboarding process.
Navigate to AliExpress Setup Wizard in your Magento Admin Panel.
In the User Registration step, enter a valid Email ID.
This email ID will be used for registration on CedCommerce.com.
Check the box to accept the Terms & Condition.
You must accept the terms before proceeding.
Click on the Next button to move forward to the Marketplace Onboarding step.
Note: Make sure you use an active email address as all further communication and registration details will be linked to this email.
After completing the user registration, you will proceed to the Marketplace Onboarding stage of the AliExpress Setup Wizard.
In this section, you need to provide the account details that will link your Magento store with AliExpress.
Verified/Connected:
Initially set to No.
This will automatically switch to Yes once your AliExpress account is saved and successfully authorized.
Title (Required):
Enter a name to identify your AliExpress account within Magento.
Example: AliExpressNewAccount (as shown in the screenshot).
This title is used internally only and helps you manage multiple marketplace accounts if needed.
Region (Required):
Select the operational region of your AliExpress account.
Example: Spain.
Important: Once saved, the region cannot be modified.
Store View (Required):
Choose the Magento Store View that should be linked with AliExpress.
This ensures product data, descriptions, and orders are extracted from the correct store view.
Tip: If your Magento has multiple store views for different languages or catalogs, make sure to select the one relevant for AliExpress listings.
Once all fields are filled, click Next to proceed.
Once your AliExpress account has been authorized successfully, the next step in the setup wizard is to configure Default Policies. These policies define how product data, pricing, images, inventory, and orders will be managed between your Magento store and AliExpress.
System-Generated Default Policies:
The connector automatically creates a set of default policies when the account is onboarded.
These include:
Default Image Policy – Manages how product images are handled.
Default Inventory Policy – Controls stock synchronization between Magento and AliExpress.
Default Pricing Policy – Defines how product pricing is synced or adjusted.
Default Order Policy – Determines how orders are imported and managed.
Default Synchronization Policy – Handles automated synchronization for listings, updates, and order flow.
Policy Table:
Each policy is displayed with details such as Title, Type, Default Status, Creation Date, Update Date, and Current Status (VALID/INVALID).
The Action column allows you to Edit individual policies if customization is required.
Status Indicators:
VALID – Policy is correctly configured and active.
INVALID – Policy needs to be reviewed and corrected before proceeding.
Creating New Policies:
Click on Create New Policy to add custom policies beyond the defaults, if needed for your business model.
Once the policies are reviewed and set, click Next to move to the Summary step.
Tip: It is recommended to review and validate each default policy before proceeding to ensure smooth data flow between Magento and AliExpress.
In addition to the automatically generated default policies, the AliExpress Connector allows you to create custom policies for better control and flexibility.
Click on the Create New Policy button.
From the dropdown menu, select the type of policy you want to create:
Image Policy:
Define how product images should be uploaded or displayed on AliExpress (e.g., number of images, resolution preferences).
Inventory Policy:
Control stock synchronization rules, such as how frequently inventory updates should run and whether safety stock rules should be applied.
Pricing Policy:
Configure price rules for AliExpress listings. This can include fixed/percentage markups, markdowns, or currency adjustments.
Order Policy:
Specify how orders should be imported from AliExpress to Magento, including status mapping and fulfillment rules.
Synchronization Policy:
Set rules for automated data sync between Magento and AliExpress, covering updates for products, pricing, inventory, and orders.
Once a policy type is selected, you’ll be redirected to its configuration page to define detailed settings.
Tip: Use custom policies if you want different rules for specific product categories, regions, or promotional campaigns, while keeping defaults for the rest of your catalog.
Before the AliExpress Connector can proceed with onboarding, the system automatically verifies if your Magento setup meets the minimum technical requirements.
The following parameters are checked:
Cron Enabled
Requirement: Must be enabled.
Purpose: Ensures automated tasks such as inventory sync, price updates, and order imports run in the background at scheduled intervals.
Check Passed: Yes.
Memory Limit
Requirement: Minimum 512M.
Purpose: Provides enough memory allocation for bulk product uploads, API calls, and data synchronization.
Check Passed: Yes.
Max Execution Time (in Seconds)
Requirement: 60 seconds.
Purpose: Ensures API calls and synchronization processes can complete without timing out.
Check Passed: Yes.
Once all checks pass successfully, click on the Continue button to proceed with the onboarding process.
Note: If any of the requirements do not pass, you must adjust your server configuration before moving forward.
