Import Products from Shopify

Easily bring newly created products from Shopify into the system and link them with Gear Exchange listings for seamless synchronization.

How Product Import Works

1. Reimport from Shopify
   --> The seller initiates a reimport process to fetch newly created products from their Shopify store.
   --> Only products not previously imported will be fetched.
2. Import from Gear Exchange
   --> Once the Shopify import is complete, the system triggers a second import to fetch corresponding products from Gear Exchange.
3. Automatic Matching: The system attempts to auto-link products between Shopify and Gear Exchange using the following criteria:
   --> Barcode Match: If a product in Shopify has a barcode that matches a product in Gear Exchange, it will be auto-linked.
   --> Title Match: If no barcode match is found, the system checks for title similarity and suggests those products for manual linking.

In Gear Exchange, there are only two inventory statuses: 1 – Product available & 0 – Out of stock

When a product is uploaded to the marketplace, it is listed with an inventory of 1. Once an order is placed and created in the Shopify store, the inventory automatically updates to 0, marking the product as sold out on the marketplace. At this point, the product will no longer be available for purchase, and its status in the app will change to Not Uploaded.

If the seller has multiple quantities of the same product, they must re-upload the product to the marketplace each time an order is placed and processed in Shopify.
