Warehouse Mapping

Warehouse Mapping

The Warehouse Mapping tab inside Settings is where you connect your Shopify locations with your SHEIN warehouses. This mapping is what tells the app where your inventory physically lives, so stock counts stay accurate across both platforms. Without proper warehouse mapping, inventory sync can get confused; products might appear in stock on one side and out of stock on the other. This page makes it straightforward to set those links up correctly.

Warehouse and Location Sync Card

On the right side of the card header is a Fetch SHEIN Warehouse(s) link with a refresh icon. Clicking this pulls the latest warehouse list from your SHEIN account, ensuring you're working with up-to-date options.

Inside the card, mappings are arranged as rows. Each row represents one SHEIN warehouse paired with one or more Shopify locations.

Anatomy of a Mapping Row

  1. SHEIN Warehouse (Required): A dropdown that lets you pick the SHEIN warehouse for this mapping. This is the source warehouse on SHEIN's side. The red asterisk (*) indicates this field is required — a mapping can't exist without a SHEIN warehouse selected.
  2. Link Icon: A small chain-link icon sits between the SHEIN Warehouse field and the Shopify Location field. This visual cue indicates that the two columns are linked and form a single mapping pair.
  3. Shopify Location (Required): This is where you select the Shopify location(s) to associate with the chosen SHEIN warehouse. A few things to note:
    1. Active status – A green Active indicator appears at the top of this field showing the location is operational.
    2. Multi-select – You can attach multiple Shopify locations to a single SHEIN warehouse.
    3. Select location placeholder – Click the input area to choose additional locations from a dropdown of available Shopify locations.
This flexibility is helpful if, for example, you have multiple physical Shopify stores or fulfillment locations that all draw stock from the same SHEIN warehouse.
  4. Threshold Inventory: To the right of the Shopify Location field, you'll see a Threshold Inventory checkbox. This setting lets you define a minimum stock buffer:
    1. When checked, an input field becomes active, and you can enter a minimum value. This tells the app to treat the product as "out of stock" once its inventory drops to that threshold, even if some units technically remain. It's a useful safeguard against overselling.
    2. When unchecked, the input field appears with a faint "Enter minimum value" placeholder and isn't active. No threshold buffer is applied.
This is essentially a safety net for inventory. If you don't want SHEIN orders to come in when stock gets dangerously low, set a threshold here.
  5. Delete: A small red trash icon sits at the far right of each row. Clicking it removes that entire mapping. Use it when a warehouse or location is no longer relevant to your setup.
