How to Add a Profile

How to Add a Profile

A Profile allows you to connect a group of Magento products with a specific Amazon category and marketplace. This ensures that product details match Amazon’s listing requirements.
This page is divided into 3 key sections:
  1. Information
  2. Mappings
  3. Products

1. Information

  1. Enable Profile – Toggle Yes to activate this profile for syncing.
  2. Profile Name – Enter a meaningful name (e.g., FR – Beauty Products).
Notes
Use descriptive names so you can quickly identify which products and marketplace the profile is for.

2. Mappings

This section links your Magento store with Amazon’s marketplace structure.
  1. Barcode Exemption –
    1. Select Yes if Amazon has granted you an exemption from needing barcodes (e.g., UPC, EAN, GTIN).
    2. Otherwise, keep it as No (Amazon will require barcode values).
  2. Account – Select the Amazon account you want to connect.
  3. Marketplace – Choose the Amazon marketplace (e.g., France, Germany, US).
  4. Category – Select the appropriate Amazon category where your products should be listed.

3. Products

Here, you assign Magento products to this profile.
  1. Default Store – The Magento store view used for exporting products.
  2. Product Grid – Displays all available products with details like:
    1. SKU – Stock Keeping Unit (unique ID)
    2. Price – Magento price
    3. Quantity – Stock available
    4. Visibility – Where the product is visible in your store (Catalog, Search, etc.)
    5. Taille –
    6. GTIN / Barcode – Product barcode (if not exempted)
    7. Status – Product status (Enabled/Disabled)
    8. Profile – Assigned profile name
    9. Amazon Data – Quick link to check the product’s mapped data for Amazon
  3. You can use the Filters option to quickly search and assign products in bulk.

Attribute Mapping

After creating a Profile, you need to map your Magento product attributes to Amazon’s required attributes. This ensures that product data (like Title, Brand, Size, Color, etc.) is correctly synced to Amazon.

Page Grid

  1. ID – Unique ID for the mapping template.
  2. Account – The Amazon account associated with the mapping.
  3. Profile – The Profile under which this mapping is created.
  4. Category – Amazon category selected for the profile (e.g., Temporary Tattoos).
  5. Template Name – Name of the mapping template you provided.
  6. Mapped Data – Quick preview of mapped attributes.
  7. Actions – Options available:
    1. View – Check the mapping details.
    2. Edit – Modify the template.
    3. Delete – Remove the template.

Why is Attribute Mapping Important?

Amazon requires specific data fields for each category. By mapping Magento attributes to these fields:
  1. Your products meet Amazon’s listing requirements.
  2. Attributes like Product Title, Brand, Color, Size, Material, and Bullet Points are automatically filled from your Magento catalog.
  3. Prevents listing errors during product uploads.
