2. Description

  • Sellers can format the product description using the following options:

    • Bold, Italic, Underline

    • Bullet & numbered lists

    • Heading styles

    • Paragraph alignment and spacing

    • Insert links or HTML

3. Price

  • Numeric input field.

  • Reflects the selling price of the product.

  • Mandatory for upload.

4. Barcode

  • This is an Optional field.

  • Enter the barcode/UPC if available for better inventory tracking.

5. Video URL

  • This is an Optional field.

  • Add a video link to enhance product visibility on Gear Exchange.

  • Ensure it's a valid URL (e.g., YouTube).

Gear Exchange Category

  • A Dropdown Selector to categorize the product correctly.

  • Helps buyers on Gear Exchange find your product.

  • Example shown: Guitars >> Guitar Accessories >> Guitar Slides.

Attributes Section Overview

The Attributes Section is divided into two parts:

  • Required Attributes – Must be completed for a successful product listing.

  • Optional Attributes – Recommended for enhancing listing quality and discoverability, but not mandatory.

Required Attributes

These settings are essential for Gear Exchange compliance and successful listing.

Product Condition

Choose the condition of the item (e.g., Good, Excellent, Fair).

Impacts buyer trust and search filters.

Brand

Select the correct brand or product type.

Ensures proper categorization and search indexing.

Allow Shipping

Toggle to allow or disallow shipping for this listing.

Options: True (enabled) or False (disabled).

Allow Local Pickup

Enables buyers to pick up the item locally.

Options: True or False

Return Policy

Choose the number of days allowed for returns.

Typical values: No Return, 7 Days, 14 Days, 30 Days.


Optional Attributes

These attributes refine your listing and improve search visibility on Gear Exchange.

Attribute

Description

MPN (Manufacturer Part Number)

Helps uniquely identify the item, especially for parts.

Can be sourced from the product title or custom entry.

Left-Handed Instrument

Specify whether the instrument is for left-handed users.

Options: True (Yes) or False (No).

Allow Offers from Buyers

Controls whether buyers can submit offers below the listed price.

Choose from available options (True, False, or leave blank for default).


Image Upload Guidelines for Gear Exchange

In Gear Exchange, users can upload a maximum of 25 images to the marketplace. Exceeding this limit will result in an upload error. Additionally, only the following image formats are supported: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .webp, and .heic.

Saving and Uploading Products to Gear Exchange

Once the configuration is complete, scroll to the top and click "Save and Upload" to update the product on Gear Exchange, or simply click "Save" to store the product.
