Product Settings

Product Settings

This section helps you control how your Shopify products are managed, updated, and displayed in your connected Facebook Catalog. Use the options here to automate updates, manage inventory, and set product details consistently across platforms.

1. Product (Inventory and Price only) Auto Update
  1. When enabled, this option ensures that any updates made to product inventory levels or prices in Shopify are automatically reflected in your Facebook Catalog.
  2. Recommended for maintaining real-time accuracy between your store and ads.
2. Variant Auto Create
  1. Enables automatic upload of new product variations from Shopify (e.g., size, color) to Facebook.
  2. Each variation will be created as an individual product listing on Facebook.
3. Product Auto Delete
  1. When enabled, products deleted in Shopify are also automatically removed from your Facebook Catalog.
  2. Helps prevent showing outdated or unavailable products in ads and shops.
4. Product Condition
  1. Dropdown Selection: Choose the condition of your products (e.g., New, Refurbished, Used).
  2. This selection will be applied across all synced products unless individual overrides exist.
5. Inventory Management
  1. Threshold Inventory:
    1. Let's you set a minimum stock quantity that must be available before a product is shown on Facebook.
    2. Example: If threshold = 2, products with fewer than 2 units in stock will not appear in the catalog.
    3. Recommended for preventing overselling.
  2. Fixed Inventory:
    1. Assigns a fixed stock level to all products for Facebook, regardless of actual Shopify inventory.
    2. Useful for testing or running limited campaigns where you want to control product availability.
6. Product Title
  1. Default Title:
    1. Uses the same product title from Shopify.
  2. Custom Title:
    1. Allows you to define a custom naming convention for your Facebook Catalog listings.
    2. Example: Adding keywords or formatting optimized for ad visibility.
7. Once you have configured all product settings, click Save to apply changes.
8. Your Facebook Catalog will reflect updates according to your selected rules.

Best Practices

  1. Enable Auto Update to keep prices and inventory accurate across channels.
  2. Use Threshold Inventory (recommended minimum: 2) to avoid stock-outs.
  3. Apply Custom Titles if you want product names optimized for ads and Meta search algorithms.
  4. Enable Product Auto Delete to maintain a clean catalog and prevent customer confusion.
